The charity provides finance to enable Tanzanian orphans to gain access to: i) Shelter ii) Care iii) Education and medical services iv) Other basic needs, this may include providing support for recreational or vocational activities.

The object of the charity is the relief of persons in need who are elderly, sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm. After a local survey of needs in the community, the Management Team decided to initially concentrate on Debt Advice and so Life Centre Debt Advice was launched in association with Community Money Advice (CMA) as part of this initiative. The charity provides funding to Mary Dean's school to a budget set each year by the Trustees. Grants to former pupils of the school who are undertaking further/higher education or need sponsorship for a recognised activity to an amount set by the Trustees. All applications are discussed by the Trustees.
