OUR MAIN FUNCTION IS TO ADVANCE THE HINDU RELIGION ACCORDING TO THE TEACHING OF LORD SWAMINARAYAN SET OUT IN THE SAMPRADAY SCRIPTURES.THE OTHER AREAS INCLUDE : HEALTH AWARENESS; PROVIDE FOR SCHOOL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION VIA SCHOOL VISITS TO THE TEMPLE; MOTHER TONGUE TEACHING; CULTURAL / ARTS / SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR THE YOUNG, THE ELDERLY AND THE DISABLED; PROVIDE ADVOCACY, ADVICE AND INFORMATION.

The National Manuscripts Conservation Trust was set up in 1990 to provide financial assistance to owners and custodians in the UK in preserving the nation's written heritage. In addition to giving grants, we advise applicants on matters relating to potential applications, including specific preservation policies and strategies and to best practice in preservation.

THE MAIN OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE OWNERSHIP AND UPKEEP OF THE BLACKPOOL GRAND THEATRE, A GRADE 2* LISTED BUILDING.THE CHARITY RECEIVES RENTAL INCOME FROM THE LETTING OF THE THEATRE, A SHOP AND KIOSKS.THE CHARITY, PERIODICALLY, HAS APPEALS TO RAISE MONIES FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES TO SUPPORT ITS MAIN OBJECT.

We are a grant making charity which supports appeals and not for profit organisations where donations will have a real and immediate impact. We prefer smaller charitable institutions and specialised or local branches of larger charitable institutions. However, at present unsolicited applications are not being considered.

We have a vision of Epping Forest being a thriving forest, rich in biodiversity, heritage and culture; enjoyed and conserved now and for generations to come. As per existing Trust deed. Activity is now focussed on providing grants to run the Bethany Orphanage in Tanzania for the welfare of children who were once either orphaned, abandoned or abused and providing education where possible.
