The Virgil Society usually holds five public meetings each year in central London which are attended without charge by members and non-members. Meetings include presentations of paper, discussion sessions and readings from the works of Virgil. A Newsletter is published for members twice a year. Members range from those who are Virgilian scholars to those who have a basic knowledge of Latin.

IN ADDITION TO DEALING EFFICIENTLY WITH TREES THAT POSE A DANGER TO THE DISASTER HIT COMMUNITY OR AN OBSTRUCTION TO THE RELIEF EFFORT, THEY TRAIN LOCAL VOLUNTEERS AND DONATE MODERN EQUIPMENT TO PROVIDE RESILIENCE AGAINST FUTURE EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS.

Established in 1946 RNBWS membership is open to all those interested in Birdwatching who share a common background - the sea itself. Membership (including Associate Members from overseas) averages 130: RN, Merchant Navies of several countries, the offshore oil, cruise passengers and yachtsmen. The International Society for Biomolecular Archaeology (ISBA) is an international community of researchers working on degraded biological remains from a range of archaeological and paleontological contexts. The society has an educational purpose, and aims to promote the study of ancient biomolecules to better understand our shared past. We provide micro-grants, bursaries, and prizes.
