As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the Penistone Scout Group give young people of Penistone the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

YBKA promotes beekeeping throughout Yorkshire, providing education, training and support for our members and informing the public at large, particularly children, about the important role that the honeybee plays in the natural ecology.

PRE-SCHOOL NURSERY

Afemai Children's Trust deliver cultural workshops to engage children and young people from all backgrounds. Their workshops develop understanding of different traditions and reduce isolation. Conveying diverse subjects, Afemai Children's Trusts' mission is to positively celebrate heritage and culture, and work with institutions that are keen to encourage a global outlook.

Peak District Mosaic organise different activities in the Peak District National Park; group walks, cycling, visits to historical sites, different places of interest to develop knowledge and enjoy the countryside. We provide training to Community Champions about the history of the national park and encourage them to access, explore and enjoy by arranging group visits for their families and friends

Hope4Humanity provides relief around the world with activities to tackle poverty. Programmes to provide; shelter, healthcare, food, clothing and delivering emergency response to those in need.

We try to enable as many people as possible to come to a Christian faith and become part of a worshipping community within the Church of England. We arrange worship throughout the parish to ensure that services and activities meet the needs of the many groups there. We put our faith into practice through prayer, scripture, music and sacrament so that people's knowledge and trust in Jesus develops

The charity's aim is to relieve the effects of economic and social exclusion in our local community. We run a Centre offering recreation, training and social interaction for people of all ages. The activities we offer are in response to local need and requests. We are fully independent, allowing us to act impartially. We also act as an umbrella organisation for local groups.

Education, Training and Resources

Westwood is a small local charity helping people in and around High Green, Sheffield feel more connected.We offer companionship to people facing loneliness or isolation, whatever the reason. Our funds support volunteers and run regular activities, bringing people together in welcoming spaces, building friendship, belonging and a say in decisions that affect their lives.

To rescue and rehome stray, abused and unwanted English Springer Spaniels and to care for them until appropriate new homes are found.

Provision of a fitness Centre for people with cardiovascular and other health problems. To enable individuals to regain independence by exercising in a secure, safe and supervised environment.

Sheffield Jazz' objects are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education for the public benefit by encouraging and fostering understanding, knowledge, appreciation and development of music, the arts, and in particular jazz, by running concerts and putting on workshops. Sheffield Jazz is run on an entirely voluntary basis.

Barnsley District Scout Council exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. This includes the supervision of scout groups in Barnsley district and the management of a scout campsite.
