Promoting the availability and quality of association football for boys and girls in full-time education, through coaching and the provision of inter-school/college and inter-county competitions and fixtures. And to help other organisations who promote health and education to schoolchildren in South Yorkshire

TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIAL; AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.

The Sheffield Recreation band was formed in 1900 and has a long history and heritage with the city centre of Sheffield and also the steel industry within the wider areas of the city, of which the band are very proud. In May 2025 the band will celebrate its 125th year. We have worked very hard to attract a wide age range within our band 13 years to over 70 years.

We make grants to registered charities only.

The members of the church have held services prayer and fellowship meetings and social events that have all been open to members of the the public. Weddings dedications funerals and other events have also been held in the church.The building has been made available for use by the general public, voluntary and local authority organisations.

Distributing funds to students undertaking degree courses living within the Darton Area of Barnsley and the Flockton Area of Kirklees.

The Wombwell scout group enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, bike rides. hiking etc. They are also involved in helping out at locally organised events (summer fairs etc).

Recreation ground

we are a Brass Band who provides concerts and takes parts in contest. for the enjoyment of both the band members and the public

Vocal Expressions is a ladies choir, based in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire. It meets its objectives through public concerts, singing at other charities' events, & at weddings. The choir's varied repertoire includes traditional & folk songs; classical and religious music and songs from musical shows.

Education, Conservation and Purposeful Recreation

The charity provides fitness; martial arts; boxing coaching and facilities to local residents at an affordable price. Classes run on most weekdays and Saturday's where coaches are available. The users of the services range from complete novices through to aspiring fighters aiming to turn professional. Groups are also run for children with special educational needs.

Singing Festival in the memory of David Clover . Held annually in Sheffield

We are custodians of the parish community centre and field. Events are held to generate income to maintain the property, cover by insurance, comply with requirements of fire, music, gambling etc. Local youth group, pensioners, other local groups use the facility.

We provide all areas of welfare and benefit to blind & partially sighted people in the Barnsley borough.

Our activities include fundraising for the bursary scheme we offer to women studying or aiming to study in non-traditional areas for women. Bursaries are granted across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. We also deliver outreach and support to organisations helping to promote STEM subjects and careers to girls and women in South yorkshire

We are open for worship services and prayer meetings. We run a Community Pantry which supports our pantry members who live in the Worsbrough Ward, to access food up to three times the value of the weekly fee. We hold funerals for general public on request. We support mission societies and relief agencies financially and with prayer.

Fund raising events for both specific and general purposes. Supporting a local Disabled Sports Club. Supporting the Rotary Charity: End Polio Now. Social events for members, guests etc.

nurturenature is a healing garden which offers a space for individuals with chronic mental or physical illness to enhance their health by being in the garden or undertaking gardening tasks. In addition nurturenature runs a range of events such as mindfulness days in the garden which are available to anyone who wishes to attend including those on low income.
