Fullfilling the Charity's objective to promote and advance agriculture and horticulture for the benefit of the public in Penistone & surrounding areas the Society holds a one-day agricultural show and supports and works with a number of local charitable organisations to enable it to bring the show to the public.

The food bank partnership operates across Barnsley . In year one 7 spokes were established opening 8 sessions a week . We have recruited and trained 56 referral agencies . We have collected 35,437kg of food and distributed 31,205kg of food . this is equivalent to approximately ?52,424 . We received 2,364 referrals and fed 4,344 people.

Yorkshire Youth and Music is a Charity offering young people the opportuntity to learn about, and make, music. Our primary aim is to encourage access for and participation by young people in the region who have no other opportunity. We do this by working in partnership across Yorkshire, using and training inspirational musicians.

Skippko aims to transform lives and empower people through exciting and innovative creative arts projects. We bring people together through workshop programmes, events, exhibitions and training. Our arts workers act as group facilitators, creating a piece of group artwork to increase people's confidence, skills and sense of self worth and to allow them to learn from each other.

SYRLJ supports asylum seekers to mount fresh claims or appeals, mainly by research which produces relevant objective evidence about and from their country of origin. Research is by trained staff, working alongside the asylum seeker. Those who use our services are usually at the end of the legal process, and are destitute. We work with solicitors where possible. Our work is free of charge.

To provide a service that gives help & support to families & carers of drug and alcohol users, as our specialism, and also to carers of people suffering with dementia, disabilities, mental ill health and the elderly.To raise awareness & educate the wider community on related issues.

Buzz provides support for separated families where there are disagreements and issues to be resolved. Based in Sheffield, Buzz provides services across South Yorkshire. Services including Family Time (Supported, Supervised, Changeover, Virtual, Postal and Reconnections), Cooperative parenting support, Life Story, Words and Pictures and Healthy Holidays activities for local families.

Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust is a Development Trust set up to raise funds and support Barnsley Museums which currently include: Cannon Hall, Worsbrough Mill, Cooper Gallery, Elsecar Heritage Centre and Experience Barnsley. Barnsley Museums are owned and operated by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and other properties may join the group in due course.

To conserve, develop and secure for the long term benefit of the public the long-closed 13 acre Grade II* Sheffield General Cemetery, Sharrow, including its buildings, burial grounds, monuments, structures, natural habitats as an environmental, historical and educational amenity

Operating an animal rehoming programme, neutering, micro-chipping, vaccination services, providing cat pen and kennel provision, fostering and lost and found services, providing financial assistance for veterinary fees for those in need.

Creative Recovery (Creative Recovery CI0) is a people-led charity that uses creativity to bring about social change, boost and support Recovery and wellbeing and nurture community spirit in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We support individuals and families with experience of mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. We also aim to challenge stigma and raise awareness of mental wellbeing.

To support people living with from ME/CFS and to raise awareness of the illnesses.

Providing Animal Welfare Support (PAWS) raises money to help small local animal rescues that have no other means of raising funds other than public support. We welcome these rescues to request funding when they face difficult times but also voluntarily donate on a monthly basis. We also help local pet owners that find themselves in financial crisis and are facing re homing a much loved pet.

The Family Works is a trauma-informed, early intervention service, supporting families in challenging circumstances for up to one year. We offer our families a Link Worker and a Family Mentor, and we walk with our families, supporting them to make long-term transformational change.

Bless offers daily activities which universally aim to reduce isolation and loneliness across a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, health and abilities. We currently deliver our services from our two bases: Upton and North Elmsall Village Hall and our centre in Hemsworth. Many of our activities centre around a creative, physical or educational theme to help people re-engage with their community.

The Methodist Church Barnsley North East seeks to share the gospel of Christ in the communities it serves. It maintains a Christian presence in the communities of Hemsworth, Brierley, Ryhill, Cudworth, Monk Bretton, Athersley (New Hope) and Staincross/Mapplewell by holding weekly Christian worship, groups to study the bible & Christian principles and running activities to support the community.
