TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY 1. DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL; 2. ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

Various fund-raising activities are carried out under the auspices of the Rotary Club (e.g. golf event, sporting dinner). Donations are received from individuals and organisations.

We raise money for local good causes. Our key fundraising event is the Street Collection Santa Float that we operate in the area each December.

Undertake activities to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve their education in citizenship, public questions, music, culture handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve rural life.

The publication of material relating to the history of the county of Bedfordshire. This includes both the publication of archive material, with explanatory sections to inform the user, and monographs on specific historical topics.

Participating in the life and work of Churches Together in England (CTE) as an intermediate body;encouraging those bodies and individuals in the Churches who share a similar remit or concern to work together in Local Ecumenical Partnerships (LEP);

COLLECTION OF DONATIONS, LEGACIES, GRANTS, MEMBERS SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AID AND OTHER SUPPORT TO EX AND CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE RAF

Parent Teacher Association: Fundraising for funds to be used by The Hills Academy in Bedford. Activities include Christmas and Summer Fairs, Discos and quizzes. Activities take place within the school grounds and buildings.

The Trust is currently for the benefit of such employees or former employees of the Charles Clay & Sons Limited as shall for the time being be in poor or necessitous circumstances

Provides facilities to enable community activities for all residents of Shefford and District, subject to the terms of hire of the Community Hall.

Funding equipment and events for Renhold VC Lower School. Examples are Christmas and Easter Celebrations, Summer Fayre, School Trips and Enhanced Activity Days etc.

To promote the preservation and protection of Men's good health in the Bedford area for the public benefit. In particular but not limited to those who are retired, unemployed or have health problems through the provision of facilities for hobbies, recreation or other leisure time and practical interests, skills sharing, learning of new skills and help with community projects.

Support the Parochial Church Council in maintaining the fabric of St. Mary's Church, Maulden

To provide a centre (village hall ) for the benefit of the community. The main activity is to hire out the hall to local residents and community groups.

To raise money for the restoration and fabric of St George of England Church, Toddington

The Trust has a policy of supporting the efforts of Rotary International (RI)in the fulfillment of the Object of Rotary. Rotary mission is the achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational and cultural programmes. The Trust also focuses on the needs of the local community through charities, organisations and specific individuals.

General Charitable Activities

Income to be used for the religious and other charitable work of the Church of England in the Parish of St. Peter de Merton with St. Cuthbert, Bedford.

Raising awareness amongst young people of the dangers of carrying knives and other weapons by helping theatre companies put on anti-knife plays and workshops in schools and community centres, by using music and performance to promote an anti-knife message, by funding short music-based courses, by supporting debate, research and networking with families who have lost children through knife crime.

We support children/young people with special needs and disabilities,their carers and other charitable organisations in Ghana. To relief poverty and deprivation by providing items, grants, disability equipment, and other services. Raising public awareness of the issues affecting disabled children and their carers in Ghana especially in relation to lack of resources, medicare and social exclusion.

Financial support for the maintenance of the fabric of Luton Parish Church

Hiring of Village Hall for village community use and for surrounding communities, clubs, organisations and individuals.

The Friends of St James, Biddenham, is an independent charity which allows anyone who values St James's Church as a focal point in village life to contribute to the "preservation, repair, maintenance, restoration, improvement and ornamentation" of the fabric of the church and church barn and also of the land, plants and structures within the curtilage of the church and graveyard.

The goals of the charity are advancing, improving, developing, and maintaining public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects. The goals will be achieved by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals
