To provide recreational and leisure facilities in the neghbourhood of Blackburn St Thomas parish

The Charities activities are to benefit the health and wellbeing of the inhabitants of Blackburn with Darwen within the county of Lancashire. Its primary project currently is to support work with asylum seekers resident in the Borough.

We offer several activities to involve the community in particular, vulnerable groups i.e. children, women, disabled and the elderly.

The advancement of education of children and young people in the UK, in particular those of African decent, in African languages and cultures and the provision of leisure time and other activities. Provide Humanitarian and Relief Operations to the disadvantaged Communities in Africa.

MATTERS OF LEGAL INTEREST

The advancement of education & the promotion & encouragement of the study of commercial and textile subjects

The charity aims to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the communities of Darwen and its neighbourhoods.

To provide financial assistance to members in times of need due to injury or sickness. Financial assistance is also available to aid dependents of members when a member passes away.

To promote the education, including social and physical training, of persons under the age of 25 years who, or whose parents, are resident in Chapeltown, Edgworth, Entwistle or Quarlton.

The supply of clothes, linen, bedding, fuel, tools, medical and other aid in sickness, food or other articles in kind for the benefit of such deserving and necessitious persons bonafide resident in the ancient township of Entwistle.

Grants in money or kind to the sick and needy of the inhabitants of Chapeltown and Edgworth wards.

Advancement of the Christian religion for the benefit of the public, through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, producing or distributing literature, on the teachings of Jesus Christ and such other ways as the trustees may determine. The promotion of equality and diversity of all, especially Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people for the public benefit.

To support the education of children.

To assist charities or purposes primarily for the benefit of and with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents of and visitors to the town and vicinity (within 50 miles) of Blackburn.

The Charity is dormant with effect from 1 April 2015, having transferred it's assets to the Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside, charity number 1068887

The Common Good Trust was established to to provide a trust for the common good of the Borough of Blackburn. It's purpose was to establish a trust and the Trustees would hold the capital and income of any money or other property received, for the trust to be used for any charitable purposes directed wholly or mainly to the benefit of the inhabitants of the Borough of Blackburn.

Equalities & Justice NW formally ( LEO ) empowers multi disadvantaged communities access mainstream services and support provision. The team are experienced and have the expertise to assist individuals and groups to overcome health inequalities and combat exclusion, discrimination and injustice. Services include employability, Voice & representation, specialist advocacy IAG, Consultancy .

The charities main activities is to relieve poverty, to provide funds for emergency relief to natural disasters, and to provide funds for educational projects specific to the poor.

Relieve suffering by setting up a residential mental health project for people living on the streets. We will distribute food to internally displaced people of the Anglophone Cameroon. We also run social groups to combat stigma, raise awareness and help people with mental health.

Hold and manage public sector and other funds to enable Voluntary, Community and Faith Sectors infrastructure to be re-developed. Provide VCFS with meeting and office space.
