The Society is a voluntary organisation open to everyone.Its main purpose is to advance the enhancement, protection and conservation of the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefit of the public, working with other public bodies in England and Wales.The Society also runs a series of guided walks throughout the year.

Provide the public with access to the Industrial Archive relating to iron and at Ebbw Vale during the period 1790 - 2002. Objectives: A Trust Deed was drawn up for the establishment and maintenance of a museum and the collection, preservation and display of the archive. This provides the local community with a unique educational resource and offers great cultural benefit to the area.

Social evenings for the elderly. Exercise classes for slimmer's. Children's parties.

Regional Bowls League and Competitions and also compete in Internationals and Home Nations Tournaments, fundraising activities to support players attending International and Home Nations Tournaments.

Providing hot meals to the street homeless and food parcels to families caught in food poverty.Provide practical help and support to those struggling to maintain appropriate standards at their property, in conjunction with the housing associations.Provide friendship and pastoral care via church services and home visits.Arrange social and recreational events for local residents.

Newport Borough Brass is a traditional British brass band. The Band, as its name suggests is based in Newport, Gwent in South East Wales where it operates. The Band has a very professional outlook and plays at local fetes, concerts, private and public functions, in addition the Band is a contesting band and is currently in the 2nd Section nationally and in the 2nd section in Wales.

To provide teaching, counselling and recreational facilities for the community.

Hedgehog Helpline operates in South East Wales. We rescue, rehabilitate and release sick, inured or orphaned hedgehogs to release back into the wild. During 2023 we received 1225 hedgehogs We received in excess of 3500 calls on HelplineWe are a volunteer run charityWe attended 46 events/venues to give talks etc to educate and raise awareness of the plight of the hedgehog

To provide tuition to young people (and older) in the creative art of playing brass instruments, to promote the brass band to an increasingly wider audience. To support other charitable organisations through music.

The encouragement of more widespread performance of Wind Band music thoughout the Brecon and surrounding area. The training of young musicians.

The rescue and the preservation of life of persons injured or stranded underground and to assist other emergency services, including other cave rescue groups and mountain rescue teams.

Day to day management of small woodlands of which one has public access. Sales of products resulting from the management including woodfuel, green craft products and honey. Tree planting and wild flower cultivation within woodlands. Providing facilities to encourage wildlife and biodiversity development, eg nesting boxes, clear areas of invasive species and litter pick as required.

The Charity is a Parents Teachers Association supporting the Dell Primary School in Chepstow

- Raising awareness of issues and challenges faced by the autistic individuals and their families from the various ethnic communities in the UK.- Providing resources through discussions and sharing information around the barriers that ethnically diverse autistic communities face.- signposting, working with organisations to work around/ease these barriers for the families & their community.

We teach skills for life to young people in and around Pontnewydd in Cwmbran, Torfaen.These skills are taught via outdoor & adventurous activities such as camping, hiking etc.

Charity operates solely within Blaenau Gwent. The hall is available for use by members of the public for social activities and also any bodies who wish to hold health and education classes.

THE CHURCH REACHES OUT TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.ON TUESDAY'S A COFFEE MORNING , SUNDAY SCHOOL, FOR KID'S . COFFEE MORNING & WORSHIP AND PRAYER MEETINGS HELD WEEKLY.FINANCIAL SUPPORT GIVEN TO MISSIONARY ORGANISATIONS AT HOME & OVERSEAS, TO DISCHARGED PRISONERS & TO THOSE INVOLVED IN DRUG REHABILITATION.

As well as competing at both local and national levels in brass band competitions, we provide music for the local community together with music tuition for all ages especially disadvantaged youngsters as well as providing historical information to heritage groups, keeping alive the tradition of colliery bands. We provide concerts for other charities, veteran and senior citizen groups.

We organise an annual festival which usually includes a children's opera (designed, performed and presented by children assisted by professional musicians and soloists), an opera/opera extracts performed by a mixture of professional and amateur artists, two jazz concerts (one professional, one amateur) and, sometimes, a lecture on a music-related subject. The festival is usually held in May.

The Contact Centre facilitates the meeting of the non-resident family member and child/children in a neutral, safe environment, supporting the service users to engage and interact in a friendly atmosphere.

Main objects are to:To make donations to any charitable society, institute, trust or organisation now existing or hereafter to exist which furthers the interest of the Charity and To make donations for those in need.
