THE PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND HARDSHIP AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE VULNERABLE. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY THE PAYMENT OF DONATIONS TO THOSE CONSIDERED WORTHY.

To advance public education in British trolleybuses and trolleybus systems. To promote the preservation of trolleybus vehicles and equipment and items of general transport interest. To assist, instruct and encourage its members in historical research and preservation. To hold monthly meetings with speakers and slide shows relating to general transport interests.

Saffron Dean Community Association works in partnership with other Allerton based projects to improve the lives of people in the community. It supports local groups through grants of funding &is developing and delivering services that includes training and development for the unemployed & activities and events for local youth & elderly.

Raising funds for school equipment and supporting school events, through fundraisers such as a Xmas & Summer fair, tri-yearly school discos, and occasional events throughout the school year.

WE HAVE PROVIDED GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS TO ASSIST THEM WITH EXPENSES WHILE THEY TRAIN TOWARDS ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD

We have now hosted two successful Christmas Time "Music on the Station" Events. Each event being used to collect monies for the CandleLighters Charity.In addition we have also enhanced the appearance of Ilkley Rail Station by providing Five Containers which have been planted up by five local schools.

We own Lancashire & Yorkshire railway locomotive 957 - The 'Green Dragon' in the 1970 film 'The Railway Children' which is in regular use on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

Small charity run by volunteers catering for adults and children with a wide range of both physical and mental disabilities within the Bradford/Leeds area.Clients come on a regular basis as individuals or part of a group from a specialist centre. All are taught by a qualified instructor.Benefits to clients include improved physical skills, self confidence and feeling of independence.

General charitable purposes.

1. To maintain the Bandstand structure and surrounding gardens.2. To manage a programme of entertainments.

To support local charities in West Yorkshire including support for schools. Support for international charities with Rotary GB and I.

Contribute to maintenance of historic building

To protect rural areas of West Yorkshire from inappropriate development.

Parent Teachers and Friends Association

To promote beekeeping through education and training for the benefit of the environment and mankind because of the important role of bees in the production of food. Children/young people, people with disabilities and special needs and other charities/voluntary bodies are also beneficiaries.

Working primarily with abandoned babies, street children & very poor families in Mexico City.

The Trust assists, in the main, charitable functions with a local emphasis to Yorkshire by allocation of grants. The Trust does not carry out any fund raising activities.

Provide a sports field for the village

Education special school. Balloon race charity event. Bag packing at supermarket. Spring stalls and tombola.Fancy dress disco. Jumble sale. fund raising events including fashion shows, Bollywood nights. Sponsored events including 10k runs, 3 peak challenge.

YSES gives grants to young people mainly from Yorkshire to enable them to experience expeditions. Where expeditions have an adventure, education and community focus.

To educate the public in the dramatic & operatic arts to further the development of public appreciation and tasks of the said arts. To assist and further such charitable institutions and purposes from any surplus funds raised from our productions as the committee from time to time shall determine.

We have made grants to the bursary funds of schools to assist with students fees.

COLLECTS MONIES FOR ACWW; DONATES TO LOCAL CHARITIES SUCH AS MANORLANDS HOSPICE, BRADFORD EAR TRUST & WILSDEN VILLAGE HALL; PROVIDES REFRESHMENTS FOR VILLAGE ACTIVITIES. PROVIDE A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR MEMBERS TO PURSUE HOBBIES, NEW SKILLS & FRIENDSHIPS.
