We are a community library in the heart of Blackfen High Street and our vision is to have an "open door" for our community and be a home away from home that provides opportunities to access a great world of books in a comforting "third space". Our library space caters for individual population groups needing a place to belong plus a way to bring together different groups in our community.

The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

"Student Assembly" Held in August to educate young ones on the basic requirement of being a good asset to the community. Seminars on christian behaviour in the community. 110 youths attended the seminar.

A Parish Church in the Church of England

Primarily providing supplementary education for disadvantaged and hard to reach people. Provide guidance advice on fund raising physical exercise such as yoga, badminton Cricket etc. The organisation also provide office space for voluntary organisations,

The charity runs a shop and tea bar at Orpington Hospital.

The main purpose of our charitable activity is to receive donations and raise funds for the improvement of healthcare. This is achieved through investment in patient and staff welfare, funding research and education.

The objects of the Charity are the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with principles compatible with the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith. In addition to Sunday services, home groups & prayer meetings, the Church provides activities for Mothers & toddlers, children and young people & the elderly. Church also used by Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & other groups from local area.

Provision of facilities for Christian worship and study, youth organisations, social activities, and service to the community.

The charity runs a charity shop, the profits of which are used to pay for a Youth Team who form relationships with young people through youth clubs, local schools and holiday activities.

Football Club

We are a Deaf and Disabled Peoples Organisation DDPO, run by and for Deaf and Disabled People and carers in Bromley and neighbouring boroughs. We enable local Disabled People to fully understand our rights, develop collective pride and build skills in self advocacy and strong civic participation. We challenge discrimination and break down barriers to independence and inclusion.

Holding On Letting Go provides support to bereaved children, young people and their families, and those experiencing anticipatory grief in Kent, Medway and SE London. Holding On Letting Go has been established since 2003 under Charity No 1103835 and changed to a CIO on 25 August 2020. For previous financial information please apply to [email protected]

The relief of sickness of children with cancer and leukaemia receiving treatment in the Tiger Ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, London or such other hospitals or organisations as the trustees may determine, by the provision of financial support to such persons and their families suffering hardship during their time of illness, and by any other charitable means

The Church brings the Christian message to people, serving the vulnerable, displaced and marginalised by providing space for the Bromley Borough food bank, Bromley Homeless charity and Bromley GP Alliance clinics for homeless people. Many other charities and community organisations hire space. There is a community interest cafe on weekdays run by CANDI (Creative and Neuro-Diverse Innovations).

Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

ACT provides a counselling service for the residents of the London Borough of Bromley that is affordable and accessible. It provides professional development opportunities for staff and volunteer counsellors working in the borough.

St. Mary's has a lively congregational life expressed in a central tradition. The congregation has a great variety of people and interests. During the year there were 4 baptisms & 2 funerals. The vicar, Alan Keeler, retired in January 2024. During the year, regular activities continued alongside the search for a new vicar and Eucharia Asiegbu was welcomed into this role in November 2024.
