Fund raising events for School

Fundraising activities to help provide children at Longwick C of E Combined School with additional facilities, activities and opportunities. Activities include annual Art Show, Cake Sales, School Discos and a Christmas Bazaar.

FOD organises fun events at School for the boys, families, parents and staff, to help bring the School community together, and to raise money to purchase extras beyond the School's budget for the benefit of the boys' education academically and otherwise. In addition, FOD donates a percentage of the annual profit to charities decided by the boys.

A non-residential week long holiday club for children run by Christians from local churches. Children are welcome from age 5 to 11. Lighthouse is run by volunteers.

Provision of a Village Hall for the use of Village Residents and external hirers; for example, PreSchool Group, Youth Club, various recreational clubs. In addition, events for residents of the village and private functions. Fundraising activities to support the maintenance and running of the Village Hall include a Summer Fair.

School Fund is et up to collect contributions and donations for, and make payments in respect of school activities and resources.

To further or benefit the residents of Ivinghoe and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time

The charity operates only in the parish of Cheddington. One-third of its income goes to the parish church to be used for maintenance. Grants are made from the remaining income to village organisations, students, volunteer drivers for hospital visits and individuals undergoing particular hardship.

Supports Turnfurlong Junior School in the education of the children attending the school, helps to raise funds to enrich the school's resources and to foster networks within the school and with the local community. Activities include sponsored events and raffles, social activities for school pupils, fun fundraising activities for friends and families and obtaining matched funding.

Abbey Gym Club is based in Prestwood, Buckinghamshire and promotes community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities and instruction for gymnastics and related sports.

The Trustees manage Longwick Village Hall to provide a meeting place for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Longwick cum Ilmer and neighbourhood
