The Project was set up in 1981 by local people for local people to provide community facilities for disadvantaged groups living in the Calder Valley, Luddendenfoot and Todmorden of Calderdale. In addition to developing a number of local community initiatives and not-for-profit social enterprises, the Ground Floor project runs the Salem Community Resource Centre, housing 28 community groups.

Foundry Street Community Centre provides a secure, sustainable, accessible and culturally diverse space at the heart of Sowerby Bridge, to facilitate a wide range of inclusive activities which are valued and supported by the people of the area and which enhance their quality of life. This includes sporting, leisure, social, recreational and educational activities.

St George's Community Trust Limited operates under 4 strands: children, families and young people, training and employability, health and wellbeing, and environmental projects within the community. Services range from a listening project to the charity shop. We offer warm spaces Monday - Thursday 9am - 11.30am and have various rooms that can be hired out for training, groups etc.

Four 19th Century weavers' cottages forming a 'living history' museum providing education for children and the wider public of life in the domestic wool textile industry in the valleys of West Yorkshire. (i) To provide Bursaries or Scholarships to persons attending Rishworth School as might be in need of financial assistance for educational purposes.(ii) To award financial assistance other than Bursaries or Scholarships in the interests of both physical and academic education to persons attending Rishworth School.

To educate the public in dramatic and operatic arts, to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts, to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the Executive Committee shall determine.

As a Christian charity we aim to spread the gospel and to help those in need according to God's word. We want to outreach to children & the elderly we also aim to minister to people in prison. We want to provide people with spiritual care & guidance but we also help in practical and financial ways if we can.

Building Bridges Food Hub is a registered charity which aims to provide support to local residents who have fallen on hard times so that they may receive subsidised shopping, providing them with dignity and choice. The clients make a small contribution to the shopping and the remainder is paid for by the charity. They can then choose up to 20 items from an online list and book a collection slot.

We act as a general advice and community centre with various clubs and sports teams operating from the premises, gymnastics, badminton, football, dance classes. Small or large groups can be accommodated. We also have a bar and a function/meeting room, all with disabled access. We provide a mother and toddler group and baby exercise class.

Beacon Church Hebden Bridge exists for the advancement of the Christian faith. We do this by providing Sunday Services for an expression of Christian worship; we provide regular teaching and training in the Christian faith and opportunities for believers to to express their spiritual nature through prayer and service and live out their faith in practical ways as we serve those in our community.

We work to retain an important local building by generating income from it. The income will be used to develop it into a welcoming space that will support learning and encourage neighbourhood cohesion. Our aims include providing a free library and a cafe with a flexible and inclusive service to the community.
