Relief for the poor in the former Borough of Halifax, now Calderdale MBC.

Fund raising to be able to issue awards for new Open University Graduates who have gained their degrees despite adversity, over and above that of the average student, to assist them in further study with the Open University.

The Halifax 900 Trust Limited is currently examining ways to improve amenities for the visiting public to use Halifax Minster in a more accessible and useful way, with the emphasis on education, heritage and civic engagement. The Minster Development Board have produced a Liturgical Plan and a Conservation Management Plan and funding is now being sought to carry out the projects identified

The objects of our organisation are to advance Woodhouse Play Area, Brighouse into a modern, accessible, multi-age placy facility and community space, providing facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation.

Support of amateur theatre in the reagion of Calderdale, West Yorkshire. Organisations and individuals are eligible for grants.

Rescue of injured small animals and unwanted pets. Education of people through various talks.

Rescue, rehabilitate & rehome where possible, equines, cats & dogs. We act as a 'safe house' for RSPCA, police & other groups rescued horses. We allow visits from schools, disadvantaged people, disabled and other interested parties.

Education and Training

To provide footwear to schoolchildren in necessitous circumstances resident in the former Borough of Brighouse

Acts as an umbrella organisation for local users of the sports field in Boston Spa. To develop the sports field for the broader use of the local community to improve their general health and wellbeing. These organisations are Boston Spa Bowling Club and Boston Spa Tennis Club.

Provision of playing fields for public access

We provide preschool childcare for children from 2.5 years old up to 4 years old. We provide sessional care and full day care. We also provide before and after school childcare in our children's club.

Food for Families was created to use surplus food from food supermarkets and stores, and use this to cook meals for local families who are struggling with food poverty. We also provide Emergency Food Bags, and provide FREE food at a local Charity Hub. Food for Families also has a cooking project called Let's Cook! to help families to learn to cook on a budget

Now a CIO (since Dec 2023), we previously operated as a company limited by guarantee (2014-2025) and will close it once current projects end. We continue long-term work in Romani language, culture, arts, storytelling, food workshops, family support, volunteering, advocacy and advice. We build pride, visibility, inclusion and unity within and beyond Roma communities in the UK.
