The charity has two main objectives: a) advance and promote scientific knowledge, understanding and education on any aspect of; and b) initiate, facilitate, co-ordinate and encourage international scientific research activity in; i)the Antarctic region;ii)on the role of the Antarctic region in the Earth system; and iii)on the effect of global change on the Antarctic region.

The Charity aims to improve the efficiency and effective use of resources for charitable purposes in particular by identifying and creating for faith and philanthropic groups investment opportunities which are aligned with their religious and philanthropic values, as well as promoting awareness of and information about such value-driven investments.

Founded in 1959, within weeks of the Dalai Lama reaching India, Tibet Relief Fund is the oldest UK based charity working with Tibetans. We support practical grassroots initiatives in education, health, skills training, sustainable livelihoods, rights, culture. Tibetans inform our work, we respond to the needs of Tibetan communities. Our size and structure means we can act quickly and with agility.

STUDENTS SERVE IN THE COMMUNITY IN VARIOUS WAYS INCLUDING PRISON VISITING.

EAQUALS is a not-for-profit body ultimately controlled by its 135 accredited members (languages teaching institutions and organisations) and 32 associate members worldwide. It promotes standards in language training.

World Abilitysport focuses on providing sport opportunities for persons with physical impairments in the UK and across the globe. The Games programme host international multi-sport events providing recreational and elite sport opportunities for physically impaired athletes. Through education and training, we promotes barrier-free opportunities and social inclusion through the power of sport.

Direct support for street children in Nepal to enable them to attend school rather than begging or forced labour. Support for Nuns and Monks arriving from Tibet - 50 on average per month. Creating new classrooms in India for Tibetan children; after 3 years the Government takes over the running costs. Offer scholarships to students and support families to enable them to buy food.

As a Christian organisation, our aim is to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ firstly in our local community and the surrounding areas, by church planting and supporting missionary work. We aim to make a positive contribution in our local community by inviting the general public to concerts, drama productions, church services, prayer for the sick and youth/children's work.

Free The Wild endeavours to stop the suffering of wild animals in captivity and educate global communities on the importance in sustaining wildlife. We aim to move mistreated animals into sanctuaries or rehabilitate them for release into the wild. We work to educate and improve on zoos and likened establishments through professional carers, handlers and veterinary support.

PROMPT's purpose is to reduce preventable harm for mothers and babies through:- the promotion of education and research - the provision of advice, treatment and assistance for women in gynaecology and maternity care, and for infants in peri-natal careand seeks to do this by the provision of Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training within the UK and Internationally.

ADIf works to prevent animal cruelty, our work inc. rescue/care of neglected animals. To advance scientific research into alternative techniques/substitutes to replace use of animals in medical/other research Lord Dowding Fund for Humane Research transferred from founding organisation National Anti-Vivisection Society to ADIf in resolution approved by Society?s directors on/effective 26 June 2016.

TO MAKE GRANTS TO STUDENTS STUDYING FINANCIAL JOURNALISM AND GIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INTERNS WORKING IN THE OFFICES OF A FINANCIAL NEWSPAPER IN ORDER TO OBTAIN PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE.

The charity supports education and research in the field of economics, business studies, systems of governance and the development of leadership, managerial and business skills. The charity's principal activity is the annual China Executive Leadership Programme which brings together the leaders of Chinese business and the chief executive officers of global companies.

Vision of C3 is for a world where there are no premature or preventable deaths from chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs).C3 fosters multi-sector Collaboration to catalyse action in the global community, to promote 3 behaviour changes that address NCDs? leading risk factors: improving diet (and avoiding harmful alcohol use); stopping smoking; and increasing physical activity.

Aiming to tackle the effects of loneliness and isolation internationally and within the UK by providing representation, advice, equipment, fostering cooperation, undertaken research and developing initiatives. Particular older people, people who are vulnerable or disabled and people who are disadvantage by illness or social isolation. Priority is given work that significantly relieve loneliness.

The charity relieves immediate financial distress when a member, who must be Serving in the RAF, dies from whatever cause, by making grants to their nominated beneficiary.

To improve maritime search and rescue (SAR) capability worldwide by:- Providing & facilitating training; - Promoting technical co-operation, exchange of information, advice & consultancy;- Encouraging & promoting the formation & development of maritime SAR services; and- Promoting public education and raising awareness of maritime SAR & water safety issues.

Walk21 works with local communities to assess their environment and identify opportunities for improving walkability with the app. We run an international conference to disseminate best practice and share knowledge and network. We advocate for walking at a range of international forums and run workshops with local governments to develop the capacity to deliver better walkability.

52 Lives changes someone's life every week of the year and inspires people to be kind. People nominate someone in need and every week we choose someone to help, share their story and provide what they need. We also run extra projects to help larger numbers of people. In addition we run a School of Kindness, empowering primary school children to create positive change and improve their wellbeing.
