The charity has continued to raise funds through a series of concerts, recitals, poetry readings and grant applications which are used to increase footfall and provide additional facilities for the Rydings complex. The charity maintains a nestbox and two live cameras on Wakefield Cathedral. Video from the cameras is streamed to the internet. The charity also arranges viewing days, when members of the public can see the peregrines and learn more about the species and the problems that it faces.

The purpose of the Elizabeth Love Museum is to care and protect the former home and personal collection of Elizabeth and Joe Love, giving public access to this historically important building and objects housed therein, through tours, exhibitions, research and interpretation.

The Fund's main activity is to fund Learning Mentors in the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at St James's Hospital in Leeds. The role of the Learning Mentor is to assist patients to ensure that they can continue with their education whilst they are undergoing their treatment for cancer.

The Gissing Trust was founded in 1978 to preserve the birthplace of the Wakefield born novelist George Gissing (1857-1903). The Gissing Centre was opened in 1990 and its aims are to acquire and display objects connected with George Gissing and the literary history of Wakefield.
