Weekly rehearsals and two annual concerts with professional (but usually student) soloists provide classical music playing opportunities for our members who include many pensioners and schoolchildren. Playing days are organised from time to time to allow 50-60 local younger and inexperienced schoolchildren to experience orchestral playing.

Padstow Sea Cadets [MSSC]is a uniformed, disciplined youth movement open to young people aged 10-18 years regardless of sex, religion or race. Training uses a national theme based upon the customs of the Royal Navy and helps them towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and life skills. Training is given to develop various skills which lead to national certs.

Provision of clubhouse facilities and training in sea-safety etc. for club members from the age of 8, through to qualification status as RNLI lifeguards for our regions beaches.

Promoting road safety to and for motorcyclists coupled with the provision to Devon's motorcycling community of practical coaching to an Advanced riding standard (in conjunction with, for example, the Institute of Advanced Motorists)including the maintenance of a club for local motorcycling members of the IAM aimed at maintaining and refreshing their safety awareness and advanced riding skills.

Cubert Beacon of Light Community Church is a newly formed independent church. Our outreach and mission is by weekly Christian worship - monthly Bible Study and Prayer Groups.Support for young people in the form of Toddler Groups and Youth Club. We fundraise through coffee mornings and other events.

Providing a venue and carrying out activities which provide income for charitible purposes an a meeting place for 25 womens institute members.Also a venue for other charitable organisations to hold fund raising events which allows them to also donate to charity.

The charity's strategy is to advertise once a year in the local press, inviting young people between 11 and 20 and resident in Devon and Cornwall to apply to the Trust for a grant to help them partake in character building activities and for which they need financial help. Applicants need to have a project in mind and shown initiative by raising some of the funds themselves.

WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEVON & SOMERSET FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE / LOCAL COMMUNITES ON COMMUNITY SAFETY. OUR WORK INCLUDES, FIRE PREVENTION, ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR E.G FIRESETTING, COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND SAFE DRIVING. WE PROVIDE ADVICE AND EXPERTISE, MAKE GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS IN NEED, RAISE FUNDING, ASSIST OTHER GROUPS TO RAISE FUNDING AND HELP TRAIN AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS.

The charity provides benefit to ex-miners and widows in the ancient parish of Gwennap.

To improve the self confidence and self esteem of socially and/or economically disadvantaged young people by providing horse riding lessons.

To provide support and rehabilitation to persons suffering from brain injuries, their relatives and carers who reside in Cornwall.

The object of the PDLF is to relieve sickness amongst persons living in Plymouth and the surrounding district suffering from leukemia and related disorders by the provision of equipment and facilities, and the promotion of research into these disorders.

The charity aims to help provide services for the sick and infirm within the local community.The charity has two vehicles modified to carry wheelchair passengers. It provides transport for those people with mobility problems, in particular, the elderly and disabled.

Education of the general public in the art form of Acapella and Close Harmony Singing, by way of our public performances. We encourage people to join with our group in order to take part in basic music coaching and to understand the craft of singing. Members and non-members are encouraged to improve their vocal knowledge and expertise thereby instilling self confidence by mastering new skills.
