The Committee organise a variety of events at the Carn Brea Village Hall, ranging from lectures on the history and heritage of the area to handicraft presentations, quiz nights and summer fetes. All these activities are open to the public and are advertised locally by means of posters and fliers and on special occasions, wider coverage is sought through local radio.

To raise project funds for capital works to support various charitable construction projects in the UK which support practical community building development and refurbishment.The money raised primarily comes from private donations and community and church groups.

Education - particularly of people no longer in full time employment.

The Trustees shall apply on an international basis the income and capital of the Trust for the following charitable purposes - Environment, Social Inclusion, Education & the Arts and Relief for Refugees & those in need. This will be achieved bythe awarding of grants to appropriate organisations operating within the above areas and the subsequent monitoring of the impact the grants have made.

Village Hall

Develop local community engagement and cohesion through:- participation in the sport of rugby football;- participation in healthy recreation;- social interaction;- self-development via training, and opportunities to try, engage in and advance participation in sport and physical exercise.Advancing the physical and informal education of children/young people via engagement in rugby.

The St Breward Institute and War Memorial Hall committee provides premises for use by the whole community of St Breward. The premises are used by all age groups for social, educational, sporting and recreational use.

Making grants to other charities and voluntary bodies.

The object of the charity is to provide a weekly 90 minute memory stick (USB) of local news, information, literature, both fiction and non fiction for the blind, visually impaired and those labouring under some temporary or permanent incapacity which makes reading a strain.

General Fundraising

Promote preservation and protection of the Luxulyan Valley and influence and assist with its management and promote education in its history, natural history and all other aspects of the Luxulyan Valley for all interested parties.

All members of West Dartmoor U3A are encouraged to take part in any of our many small and varied groups. We hold regular monthly meetings for all members to attend, a speaker is usually booked and, in addition, there are social functions throughout the year.

WE ARE A PTA ORGANISATION,WE RAISE MONEY WHICH GOES TOWARDS SCHOOL EQUIPMENT,OUTINGS ETC.WE HAVE A SUMMER FETE,CHRISTMAS FAYRE AND SMALLER FUND RAISING EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR(DISCOS,NON-UNIFORM DAYS ETC).WE ARE A PRIMARY SCHOOL IN TRURO CORNWALL.

St Clement is a very small village, we use the parish hall to keep the local community together. Other than the Church, we do not have anywhere to meet (no shop or public house). We hold fund raising events to cover the costs of electricity-water and general maintenance of the building. The hall is available for hiring by any group or individual.
