Work in Malawi continues, we support three schools in Lilongwe. We take children to Bunda Health Clinic for consultation, treatment and medicines. We provided funds,clothes and medical supplies for Kasina Clinic. Feeding and food growing programmes are in place with the schools. Participants raise funds throughout the year. The Midland Geotechnical Society organises evening lectures in the Birmingham area, generally once a month between October and May. The lectures are on a geotechnical topic and promote continued education of students, practising engineers and retired members of the geotechnical community. Occasional afternoon seminars and site visits are arranged. We make several financial awards per year.
