Activity based club for young people

THE SOCIETY MANAGES THE MASJID-ZEENAT-UL-ISLAM MOSQUE AS WELL AS ARRANGING VARIOUS CLASSES AND SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.

The Coventry and Nuneaton Methodist Circuit facilitates and encourages the worship of God in the Warwickshire area. As part of our mission we use our buildings not only for worship on Sunday but also for a number of community activities during the week, sharing the love of God through word and deed.

The main activities of the Charity are the running of Cheylesmore Community Centre for the use of local community groups. The Charity also promotes community cohesion at a local and citywide level.

The trustees' policies are set out in the "Objectives and activities" section of their Report for the year ended 31st December 2015.

Religious Activities

This charity aims to advance and spread the Buddhist religion. This includes encouraging people to live in accordance with Buddhist teachings, supporting ordained Buddhists and maintaining close links with the Triratna Buddhist Order. The charity operates as part of a network of independent Buddhist charities known collectively as the Triratna Buddhist Community.

We work with asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in the Coventry area that experience extreme poverty and lack the most basic personal and household facilities. We provide food, clothing, furniture and other key items donated by the public. We hold weekly outreach events attended by 150 families to build relationships and identify pathways that will support them and rehabilitate their lives.

Relief of people affected by blindness, partial sight or other disabling diseases of the eye.Provision in the interests of social welfare of recreational and educational facilities for such people.

We exist to affect that social change and the transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable lifestyle. By inspiring and supporting communities and organisations across Birmingham to take positive action, we will demonstrate that building low carbon communities brings benefits, opportunities and well-being to everyone, whilst protecting our environment.

The Laura Centre offers free bereavement counselling services for adults, families and young people. We provide holistic support to parents who's child has died and children and young people 5-25 years old who's parent or sibling has died. The centre also supports those in anticipatory grief. We provide one to one therapy, systemic family work, therapeutic and drop in groups and an advice line.

PROMOTING IN THE PARISH THE WHOLE MISSION OF THE CHURCH.

The charity makes grants/donations to other charities registered with the Charity Commission as per the above categories. Please note that the charity will ONLY consider other charities based in the West Midlands. Any other area in the UK is considered outside the scope of the charity. Please do not expend charity resources if you fall outside these geographical areas or fail to meet criteria.

The Edward and Dorothy Cadbury Trust is a grant giving charity principally supporting the voluntary sector in the West Midlands. The main areas of grant giving focus on arts and culture, community projects and integration, compassionate support, conservation and environment, education and training.

St Peter's Hillfields works to promote the whole mission of Church in the context of the above Parishthrough both Word (preaching, worship, teaching, etc) and Action for the primary benefit of the peopleof Hillfields and the Coventry refugee and asylum seeker community to whom we offer help and supportwithout making any distinction.

The provision of regular public acts of worship open to members of the church and non-members alike. The teaching of Christianity through sermons etc, pastoral work, including visiting the sick and bereaved. Promotion of Christianity through the staging of events and services. Promoting Discipleship as the mission of the church through activities generally and for other specific groups.

Developing the work of The Vine UK, a fast-growing family of life group-based churches, now operating in various locations in the UK.

We offer a confidential and professional counselling service for adults, children and young people from throughout Warwickshire but especially Nuneaton, Bedworth and the surrounding areas. We offer counselling in schools, childrens centres, and in our centre in Nuneaton. We offer training workshops in bereavement, anger awareness courses and an Introduction to Counselling Skills (ICSK-L2) course.

Provides a theatre-in-education service for schools, pupil referral units, special schools, and colleges;Presents performances of new plays, for young people in particular, in arts and community venues;Makes theatre-based inputs into teachers' INSET, and into teacher-training and drama courses;

Independent Advocacy helps empower people to lead a full life through innovation. We empower people as a way to make them less vulnerable, improve their self-esteem and become more confident. Independent Advocacy delivers a range of work including Kinder Communities, Advocacy, Information, Advice, Corporate Appointee work , Digital Champions etc.

We are a warm, caring and friendly fellowship. Worship styles are a mixture of traditional and modern. We are a black majority inner-city Church, a lively charismatic-evangelical fellowship. We minister in a multi-racial, multi-faith community, which has a luncheon club that serves the community. People enjoy our lively worship, bible based preaching and our friendly welcome.

Provides training and education to both the Hindu and other religius communities within the Sandwell area. Providing advice to young and old of a particular ethnic or racial background on health and welfare matters together with cultural and heritage development.

New Chapters, based in Warwickshire, will provide a much-needed home for individuals who want to recover from drug and alcohol dependency. New Chapters will offer charity beds to those who would otherwise be unable to access private rehabilitation centres.

The Charity's principal activities are : Providing a befriending service and extended support for isolated older people. Operating a debt counselling service. Supporting the unemployed and homeless. Offering prayer for healing, hospitality and welcome in the city centre. Organising family activities in the city centre.
