Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We build girls confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We give them a space to have fun. We support girls in Crediton and the surrounding villages from Rainbows right through to adults leaders.

It gives its members the opportunity of working and learning together by providing a wide range of leisure and learning activities. We work together to improve the quality of life in the community and to enhance the position of women by developing their skills and talents. We influence decision makers at all levels and are consulted by Government on major matters of social concern.

Providing monthly meetings for the over 60's in the Lapford and district area where various speakers, entertainers are invited to inform, educate and entertain its members - raffles, quizzes and refreshments complete the afternoons activities. Outings/visits are arranged to a variety of destinations monthly from May to November culminating in a grand member's Christmas party to close the year.

Provision of land for public use for sport and recreation

To advance the education of the public in the history of the County of Devon and its people by promoting, supporting and assisting in the collection, preservation and conservation of the records and other material of historical interest held in the archives of the Devon County Council and elsewhere, including the South & West Devon and North Devon Record Offices.

To advance in life and help children and young people aged 9-13 living in the Littleham Ward of Exmouth through the provision of recreational and leisure activities provided in the interest of social welfare designed to improve their conditions of life and provide support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society

The Okement Rivers Improvement Group (ORIG) is a voluntary organisation which undertakes activities to conserve the wildlife and amenity value of the two rivers. East and West Okement rivers. Environmental/Heritage projects include reinstatement of weir to help migratory fish. Partnerships with environment agency and West Country Rivers Trust. The public assist with river corridor litter pick ups.

We are a small youth group primarily operating in Weare Giffard but open to children in the surrounding areas. Our primary aim is to provide a safe and relaxed environment for the local youth to meet and socialise with their friends in a rurally isolated village. We do a varied range of activities both indoors and out including pool, table football, art and craft, team games etc.
