We take a strategic & partnership approach to serving our communities by developing staff, services & resources that are inclusive, sustainable & enhance learning. We do this through 5 key areas of activity: networking; providing training & development opportunities & courses; providing grants for projects & training; facilitating the inter lending of resources; developing strategic partnerships

We run a village hall in Combe Martin and hire it out to local charities and the public for the following: Bingos, Meetings, Markets, Partys, Sports events, Dancing and much more there is a bar available and a kitchen if required.

Community groups i.e. Moorland Club for ladies. Oakford Players for pantomime and variety shows, whist drives, dances,Church festivals and activities. Venue for 'Villages in Action' events.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. The East Devon Scout District supports Explorer Scout Units and the Scout Groups across East Devon to encourage the young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we support our members by providing the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Jazz education and performance opportunities for young people in Devon.To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of jazz music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals

COMMUNITY PURPOSES

Our aim is to provide a big screen cinema experience for the people of Bideford and the surrounding area. We show a variety of films, including a wide range of recent releases, and also occasionally work with local community groups and independent film makers for particular events. We also work with other local charities.

The advancement of education for older people and those who are retired from full-time work by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development, in Ivybridge and its surrounding area.

A charity based in the Dodbrooke area of Kingsbridge, South Devon. Renting property to local tenants in the area; supporting the parish Church and giving alms to local pensioners.

To relieve the suffering and distress of Bull Terriers in UK rescues which are in need by reason of sickness, maltreatment or poor circumstances.

To give support to anyone affected by cancer (patients or carer) through the provision of short, residential breaks which include counselling, support and advice and which are free of charge to all-comers. Under exceptional circumstances, support may be provided on a one-to-one basis and/or online.

The objects of the charity are to relieve sickness and preserve health amongst persons permanently, or temporarily, resident in the catchment area of the Budleigh Salterton Medical Centre, or any legal successors thereof.
