The International Society of Hypertension (ISH) is the premier global body dedicated to research, education and clinical excellence in blood pressure and related cardiovascular disease. Highlighted activities include: Biennial Scientific Meetings, New Investigator and Women in Hypertension Research networks and educational activities with a focus on economically disadvantaged countries.

The Foundation is named for the late General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers (England and Wales) who died suddenly in April 2008.
