Doncaster Mencap provides two gateway club nights ( Wed/Thurs) for members. A carers group has been established with meetings once a month over the lunch period with guest speakers. Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council now rent part of our buildin monthly, for use as a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. This is enabling us to bring our building up to standard.

Providing advice and support to refugees and asylum seekers in the Doncaster area

To give financial assistance to the poor and needy residing specifically within the ancient parish of Cantley with Branton, Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The principal activity is the advancement of the Christian faith.

We are a local village hall that is hired out to the local community for events, WI, coffee clubs, book clubs, dance classes, sport classes, health and well being classes etc.

The principal object of the Company is the regeneration of the Askern Ward in Doncaster.

The Trust is constituted to maintain conserve and display to the public the following historical properties: Wortley Top Forge, Rockley Engine House, Rockley Furnace, Bower Spring Cementation Furnace, Hoylandswaine Nail Forge. (All South Yorkshire) There is also a collection of historical engines and other machinery at Wortley. Wortley has working waterwheels and has regular guided tours.

The Foundation exists to celebrate and support people to experience the transformative power of music. From funding music classes in community groups and schools to providing grants for people to buy instruments, The Power of Music Foundation enables, encourages and guides socially and economically disadvantaged people in South Yorkshire to develop musical abilitie

We are a Scout Group giving young people the opportunity to make new friends, have amazing adventures and learn new skills.

Supporting those adults negatively affected by someone else's legal/illegal substance use. Once located they are offered a comprehensive assessment of their holistic needs, covering immediate crisis, physical and psychological well being, resilience and advice and guidance. We support, energise and strengthen families so they are able to create a lifestyle that does not support substance misuse.

Church services are on Sundays at 11am. We hold coffee mornings, open days, meditation sessions, and social events to raise awareness of Unitarianism and to raise funds. We also fundraise through our charity shop on Hall Gate. The church supports a number of local organisations that help vulnerable communities.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE PROVISION OF AN INSTITUTE, SPORTS AND RECREATION GROUND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS ( AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, SUCH OF THE SAID INHABITANTS AS ARE MEMBERS OF THE MINING COMMUNITY ) OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS OF THE LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

The charity provides help in the local community to those people needing to re-home their cats, taking in stray cats handed in to the vets or roaming in the local community, and for those looking to adopt a cat. We also run a trap, neuter, return scheme for feral cats located in the area. We have referred to the guidance contained in the charity commission's general guidance on public benefit.
