The object of the Association is to relieve cardiac patients who are sick; convalescent; disabled;handicapped;infirm or otherwise in need of assistance and to generally support the charitable work of the cardio thoracic unit at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield by the provision of of specialized equipment not normally provided by the Local Health Authority.

The Trust provides opportunities to use the extensive Doncaster Grammar School Railway Collection for educational and research purposes.

We have actively sought to raise the profile of the Theatre and recruit new members to our Friends group by organising history talks with local groups. We have attended events with our exhibition stall. We have run fund raising activities such as sales and continue to hold theatrical events. We continue to engage with other stakeholders to promote the benefits of the Theatre within the community.

To save dogs from Council pounds, have them neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and rehabilitate and rehome them..To encourage volunteers to walk the dogs in our kennels, for the dogs benefit and the associated health benefits for the volunteers;To provide advice, support and awareness about dog care to anyone who needs it and to promote responsible dog ownership.

Raise money to help pay for or subsidise school visits, events & activities for the children of Hill Top Primary School.

Collecting monies from Lodge registrations which go to our benevolent fund. At the moment we take nothing from registrations but this will change on the next return, it was decided to to take 0.05p from each registration paid to the Doncaster Province. We are also now receiving donations from our Minor Lodges in the Doncaster Province.

CAL Centre projects is established to support and engage those at risk of social exclusion. To this end we have established various projects and activities. Projects around social engagement, training and education providing practical and emotional support to promote independence and life skills. Our projects encourage interaction and diversion to lead a more sustainable health lifestyle.

The principal purpose of the charity is to provide assistance in the development of community sport and recreation on the site of Dunscroft Miners Welfare. The charity is fully supportive of promoting football at "grass roots level," helping to fund football courses for willing volunteers, and also helping to apply for grants to improve the facilities at the ground.

To promote the study and conservation of birds in the Doncaster district through various slideshows and talks on a monthly basis and encourage the younger members of society to play and active role in the aims of the society.
