SCOUTING ACTIVITIES

To further the advancement of Christianity, the relief of poverty and the advancement of education for the benefit of the public, in particular but not exclusively in Asia, Africa and the United Kingdom.

Provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for individuals in the parish of Woodlands in Dorset, and neighbouring areas, who have need of such facilities in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

The maintenance of the homes belonging to the Abbeyfield Wessex Society Limited and for the benefit of persons resident in the Society's homes.

The purpose of scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities.

Promoting a holistically healthy lifestyle based on the teachings of the Vedas as presented by HDG A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada with a current focus on developing ecologically friendly, sustainable community.Teaching music, meditation and vegetarian cooking. Promoting other forms of positive recreation.Providing facilities and venues for the above.

Raising funds from Club members and by general activities in order to offer financial assistance to individuals and organisations, in particular projects sponsored by Rotary International.

The Village Hall was built in 1937. It is used to hold a number of activities including, weekly keep fit, dance & zumba classes. The hall is also hired out for private functions, school activities & fundraising events run by the committee. The hall hosts a milk machine selling fresh milk & local farm produce. A donation library opened in 2021.

Local Beaver, Cub and Scout Group taking part in organised events, sailing, anything that comes under the Scout Association.

The Charity operates as part of Weymouth Rotary Club to give grants to local & overseas causes. Often given to help organisations supporting young people but it is not prescriptive and individuals and other local groups can be helped.

Langton Herring Village Hall provides a centre for all residents to meet, socialise and exercise. It offers a suitable location for the various village clubs from Table tennis, Art, Choir, Gardening and Talks on a regular basis. It is also a regular meeting place for external groups including the Parish Council and occasional visits from the local MP.

A village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the area in and around Upwey, Weymouth without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants

Youth education and training. Our aim is to help young people towards responsible adulthood, by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

for?a strength against cancer is a charity based in Lymington that supports people living with or affected by cancer in Hampshire and Dorset. The charity does this by offering financial assistance, support, education and practical advice. One area of our activities is making grants to individuals and groups. The second area is the active involvement and investment in relevant charitable projects.

We provide a place for local groups to meet, offering flexible use for a number of purposes, from youth groups to theatrical productions.

Parent Teachers and Friends committee, whose aims are to advance the education of Sunninghill Preparatory school, particularly by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the School. We encourage cooperation, good relations, good communications and help raise funds.

To advance the health of injured Armed Forces personnel, and their carers, who have been severely injured and are in financial need, by the provision, maintenance and improvement of holiday accommodation.Our aim is to raise sufficient funds through donation, sponsorship and fundraising events, to enable the purchase and running of a bespoke log cabin.

The charity organises PTA events during the school year (cake sales, children's disco, summer fair, Christmas fair etc). The funds are then used by the charity to support school activities/needs.

Fund raising for Julia's House, Dorset Children's Hospice and for other local causes.

The raising of funds to support a wide range of charitable objects both locally and internationally; the provision of services to those in need and working with schools and young people.

Financial support for retired and serving New Forest Keepers, their widows and dependents experiencing hardship.

Playing Field for the use of the residents of the village of Stourpaine. Tennis courts used by Stourpaine Tennis Club members. Village Hall for residents, local organisations and private hire.Childrens play area.Pavilion & changing rooms attached to playing fields for team games and seperate private hire if required. Also used by local Tennis Club.
