Langton Herring Village Hall provides a centre for all residents to meet, socialise and exercise. It offers a suitable location for the various village clubs from Table tennis, Art, Choir, Gardening and Talks on a regular basis. It is also a regular meeting place for external groups including the Parish Council and occasional visits from the local MP.

The purpose of scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities.

Manage and maintain the Hall and it's resources for the general benefit of the residents of the Parish of Iwerne Courtney.Organise functions and events and facilitate use of Hall by other village organisations and parishioners private events.

To help the conservation and preservation of the wild hedgehog species by providing rescue, care and rehabilitation for sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs, with the aim of releasing them back to the wild.

Provide a venue for events held in the village

Christian activities are held in our premises and elsewhere. We visit with invites to activities and give Christian literature. We help local needy people and lend our premises to Christian groups with aims similar to ours, and to others helpful to our community, with a similar ethos to us. We help Christians and Christian organisations worldwide with charitable aims similar to ours.

The charity organises PTA events during the school year (cake sales, children's disco, summer fair, Christmas fair etc). The funds are then used by the charity to support school activities/needs.

Management of the Broadmayne Village Hall

Financial support for retired and serving New Forest Keepers, their widows and dependents experiencing hardship.

Carry out private events ie discos, firework display, bingo nights and quiz nights to raise money for grants to school for schoole educational field trips and educational equipment.

Parent teacher association to help raise funds for the school through various fund raising activities.

The Hall provides an area which is used by the community for a range of social and educational purposes

Dorset Search Dogs uses dogs to help the police and other statutory bodies search for missing people in the UK.

Choices Advocacy provides independent advocacy and advocacy related services ie Person Centred Planning to children and young people, adults with a learning disability, older people, vulnerable, socially excluded people in Southampton and across Southern Hampshire. Independent Advocacy empowers and enables vulnerable people to speak up and have their views and wishes heard.

Management of a village hall

To provide nursery and pre school service to mere and the surrounding area for 2-4 and a half year olds on a non profitable basis.

To act as a resource for children and young people living in the area of Purbeck District Council and their families by providing assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities. As part of this programme we afford an opportunity to the young people to explore the Christian faith if they so wish.

To preserve and present the history of aviation in the southwest of England in general, and the Blackdown Hills in particular, and to inform and educate the general public of that history through a programme of communication (e.g. via web-site, newsletters, lectures & talks, etc.), events and displays.

To raise sufficient funds for the construction of a community hall in the village of Litton Cheney for the combined use of community and school, and to operate the hall for the general benefit of all.

SCOUTING ACTIVITIES

We are a Christian Bookshop. Various local ministers of religion are Patrons and we are supported by and work closely with Churches Together in Bridport and District.
