Pact House Stanley is hub for community access to help to reduce isolation, support people with well being, address and support local people in poverty. We support people in the local community in food poverty with food packs and through low cost and free meals in the community cafe. We help people to access services, training and information they need to improve their quality of life.

We are a pre-school group, registered with Ofstead, providing 20 places at each session, currently 2 sessions per day, Monday-Friday, during term-time only for children aged between 3 and 4 years of age.

The St Paul's Centre provides high quality meeting and activity facilities which includes a Community Cafe. The Centre re-opened in June '10, following a major refurbishment, the Centre has enjoyed occupancy levels of 85% and over 21694 visitors within the year 2023. Northern Print is an open access printmaking studio in the North East of England, providing a one stop shop for printmaking.The provision, maintenance and improvement of property owned or managed by Northern Print as a public amenity in the vicinity of a landfill site, for the protection of the environment.

Haswell & District Mencap operate from a purpose built building in the heart of the community. Our main target group are people with a learning disability, their carers and the wider community. Our services and activities include daycare, sport and social groups, carer support, advocacy, a catering and a furniture social enterprise. We are also a Gateway Beacon Club and have Gateway Active Status.

SRMC seeks to be a loving, welcoming and active Christian community, serving and sharing with the world around us, following the example and teaching of Jesus Christ.We serve the world and community by providing premises in Rowlands Gill and Chopwell for church, community and charitable use, as well as working with children and youth, refugees, the elderly and the socially disadvantaged.

Durham Amateur Rowing Club is a community sports club specialising in rowing but also working with partner organisations to offer alternative watersports on the River Wear in Durham City. The Charity provides facilities and equipment to enable all users to access the sport from beginner level up to national standard.

Animal welfare support in Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside (including some areas in County Durham and Gateshead). We provide welfare assistance (signposting and advice), assisted neutering scheme, pet food bank, education and funded vet clinics (criteria apply to all services). This branch does not currently have animal shelter facilities or accept animals from the public.

To promote equality and diversity, advance education and eliminate discrimination in relation to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in particular but not exclusively those residing in and around the North East for the benefit of the public by raising awareness in issues affecting the said persons.
