The Friends were set up in 1933 solely to help to maintain and enhance the building and its setting; and over the last ten years grants totalling over -ú1,000,000 have been made, membership is open to all who appreciate the cathedral either as a place of worship or as an architectural gem, and donations and legacies are also welcomed.

The fun club is based within the grounds of Sedgefield Primary and operates from their own purpose built premises. Fun club provides high quality reliable childcare at a reasonable cost for children aged 3-14 years before & after school and during school holidays. The club provides a range of indoor and outdoor activities for the children to participate in during their time at the club.

The charity operates from Lanchester Community Centre. Affiliated groups, organisations and individuals hire use of the premises to offer educational and leisure activities to promote the wellbeing of the inhabitants of Lanchester and the wider community. A fitness centre is available for monthly subscription which includes an induction session.

To provide for the benefit of children under sixteen years on the 1st January in any particular year of benefit who have displayed exceptional character in overcoming serious sickness or injury and who are deserving of an award to recognise such achievement.

The Learning Library's main function is to loan out specialist resources and equipment to people of all ages who have additional needs.

Northern Hope, Birtley, Gateshead provides gymnastic training for children and adults of all ages. We hold competitions and displays, which includes all types of gymnasts at different levels. We also travel and attend competitions at different venues throughout the country, we have gymnasts who have competed at NDP and school finals.

Foundation Futures CIO is a specialist teaching and youth service operating in the NE of England. We support young people to find out what they can do instead of what they can't. We support their families and the wider community to improve the lives of young people.

The Charity is now in possession of the new Burnhope community centre for the parish of Burnhope. The charity was set up to provide recreational and social activity for the wellbeing of the residents of Burhope Parish, which we now are able to do.

The Registered Charity is a Methodist Church and undertakes a number of Community based projects, serving the needs of local people.
