Steelworks is a community steel band based in Middlesbrough. We provide opportunites for people of all ages to be involved in Caribbean steel pan music making. We hold regular reharsal sessions, deliver taster workshops and perform at pubilc and civic events across the Northeast.

To guide the general public to drive better

Provide a common hub for the local community. Maintain and improve the village hall for the benefit of all of the parishioners of Hunstanworth. Facilitate local activities and life long education in the community. Encourage links with other organisations which provide similar facilities and services. Promote dissemination of information through the production and distribution of the Parish Post.

Yearly music Festival

To advance the education of the pupils at Beaumont Hill Special School by means of fund raising to provide and assist in the provision of additional facilities e.g. funding for residentials, functions, and additional resources.

The aim is to help maintain and preserve the fabric of St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle and its' Parish Hall. This is done by organising social events and visits open to the general public as well as members on a regular basis.

To provide land upon which the annual Sedgefield Argicultural Show and other rural pursuits can be held.

North East Mission aims to see an end to homelessness in the North East.Currently NEM runs Durham Winter Night Shelter.

GRANTS FOR RELIEF OF POVERTY

OUR PRINCIPLE AIM IS TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WISH TO ENJOY OUTDOOR EDUCATION. WE PROVIDE ACCESS AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE WITH A DISABILITY AND PROVIDE GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE PLACES AT DERWENT HILL FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. OUR MAIN SOURCE OF FUNDS IS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND BURSARIES.

Income mainly interest from investments. Income is given out in September to parents who are resident in the parish of Frosterley and have children in full time higher or further education. No one under age 11 is eligible.

(1)The study of Natural History, Geology and Archaeology. (2)The collection of information concerning topography, field paths. natural and archaelogical features of Darlington District and Teesdale including compilation of lists of recent fossils, fauna and flora.(3) The preservation of characteristic plants and animals of the district.

Through targeted fundraising and by seeking donations and legacies, the charity exists to advance culture and heritage in and around Hamsterley, County Durham by assisting in the preservation, maintenance, repair and improvement of the fabric, fittings and contents of the church of St. James, Hamsterley together with its surrounding access roads, paths and grounds.

to award financial assistance to 16 - 21 year old students in the parish of Middleton-in-Teesdale

SDVT Bannerfund is involved in all aspects of coal mining heritage in the areas of Seaham and the wider community of County Durham. We have renovated and conserve local miners banners for parade and exhibition to the public. We work with schools and children to raise awareness of our coal mining heritage including local mining history, song, dance, poetry and music, the life of miners.

Fundraising for benevolent causes effecting travelling showmen and their families

The charity exists to promote music, especially the organ, and to encourage people to learn to play and contribute to local musical life.
