Gives small grants to the poor aged over 67 years of age in the Parish of Stanhope in Weardale

To promote and protect the physical and mental health of people living in County Durham, in particular but not limited to children and young adults who have experienced the loss of a family member by providing and assisting in the provision of services relating to bereavement including advice, counselling, emotional support and pratical help.

Recreation ground and playing field for residents of Wilks Hill.

The charity provides an art trophy and monetary prize for an art competition for pupils of schools administered by Durham County Council.

To fund in the form of a donation to a pre-existing junior football club in deprived areas that are struggling to survive and would benefit from a charitable donation as well as organisations with individuals who are appropriately qualified and are actively researching Giant Cell Myocarditis

The Charity is at present dormant, the only income is the interest from invested funds, this is used finance the cost of pastoral work within Wolsingham.

We run a teabar in Outpatients Dept at Shotley Bridge Hospital. Outside of this we run fundraising events ie coffee mornings, seasonal fayre's and a flag day. All monies raised go back into the community via medical equipment. Patient comforts on wards & in Outpatient Dept.

The charity awards an annual prize to a pupil at the school.

For the promotion and encouragement of education among members of the North Yorkshire and South Durham Chartered Accountants Students Society

The purpose is to assist most deserving poor, sick, and infirm people, inhabitants of any of the parishes betwixt Northallerton and Darlington.

The activities of the charity are aimed at advancing the Christian faith, providing religious or secular education, and relieving persons who are in conditions of need or hardship in Durham and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

Easington Charitable Trust helps the Easington miners & families in the Easington community since the pit closure in 1993, we give financial help to the members & wives & children ie, Sam Watson Rest Home for women & Scalby Homes for retired miners, & bus trips for the members & children & wives ie Durham Gala.
