Managing a Community Managed Library

THE ST VINCENT'S SCHOOL PFA IS A VOLUNTARY GROUP OF STAFF, PARENTS,GOVERNORS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL, ESTABLISHED TO ORGANISE AND ENCOURAGE INVOLVEMENT IN FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ENRICH THE ST VINCENT'S PUPILS' SCHOOL LIVES WITH TOOLS NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LONDON EDUCATION AUTHORITY.

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and its income upon trust to apply them for the public benefit for such purposes as are exclusively charitable from time to time according to the law of England and Wales.

Preaching and teaching in the church and having Bible and faith discussions with people in the community, holding prayer meetings, couples fellowship to strengthen family life, assistance to the homeless, alcoholics and victims of disaster. Hospital visitation and prayer with the sick.

Organising Conventions, Seminars, Church planting, Youth Programmes, Raising resources for relief work, running Bible School, and Training programmes for various levels of performamce were the main activiteis of the Charity during the last year

We will be providing a Community Managed Library run by trained volunteers from the local community. We will offer a traditional library service as well as developing other activities and events for all age ranges creating a community hub for independent learning, recreation and leisure.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, 8th Ealing Scout Group gives young people of Ealing the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

To provide quality coaching for children, young people and adults of different, ethnic, social and economic backgrounds in an environment that promotes positivity, personal wellbeing, team work and lifelong skills.

RAISING FUNDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF PUPILS IN ST GREGORY'S ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO MEET EACH OTHER SOCIALLY.

To promote, maintain, improve and advance education in and around West London by the promotion, performance and encouragement of the Arts with particular reference to staging theatre productions which help to develop cultural awareness for all the community.

THE LIBRARY FOR IRANIAN STUDIES INVOLVES IN ACTIVITIES IN ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN IRANIAN CULTURE.

WLSC provides IAG, tuitions for children from key stage 2 and onward and recreational trips. It also organises workshops for its beneficiaries to address issues of concerns like education, social inclusion and parenting. Annually, WLSC organises the Somaliland Community achievement Award and the celebration of Somaliland national day.

The aim of the Scout Association, of which this charity is a member, is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

We function as a local community centre for residents of Park Royal and neighboring areas, welcoming individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.Our centre is dedicated to developing, supporting, and leading services for all attendees, irrespective of race, background, or religion. Over time, we have experienced steady growth and have become a pillar within the community.

Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School and advance the education of the pupils.

Soul Kitchen aims to provide a hot meal to those in need within the local community. We have worked with food banks, welcome support from local businesses and charities. This year has presented many challenges and we have had to innovate our approach. We are now working with local councils and communities, offering support to the vulnerable by supplying essential items and food packs.

The charity promotes arts and culture for the benefit of the public, in part but not exclusively by:Supporting young performers;Organising art exhibitions and concerts for the benefit of the public to promote choral music, and;Creating opportunities for cultural exchange.

- Education: ESOL and sewing classes for women- Help with housing difficulties.- Elders social club: meets one day a week.- Out-reach services: informal drop-in.- Health Issues: Women's health workshops, etc.- Youth project: a space for young people to address issues that concern them.

The PTA raise funds for pupil well-being with regular social events including a quiz night, bingo night, second hand uniform sales and a local half-marathon. Income was paid out for extra counselling sessions, sports equipment, theatre performances, new books for the library and a lighting and sound desk upgrade in the main hall.

Our parent association works with parents and local businesses to arrange events in order to foster our community and to fundraise, for example fairs, sports day, quiz night and bake sales. We use these funds to subsidise enrichmentactivities for the children at our school and provide additional equipment.

ITS MAIN ACTIVITIES ARE WORKING WITH THE SCHOOL TO PROVIDE GRANTS FOR EXTRA CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT AND TO DEVELOP THE OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND AREAS.IT ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE SCHOOL INCLUDING BOOK WEEK AND ACTIVITES SUCH AS AFRICAN DRUMMING.IT ORGANISES FUND RAISING EVENTS SUCH AS THE SUMMER FAIR WHICH INCREASE'S THE COHESION OF THE COMMUNITY FOR STAFF, PARENTS AND PUPILS.
