The Huddleston Centre is based in Hackney and supports Hackney residents. Our aim is to enable disabled people and their families to take maximum control of their lives, and play a full and active role in the community.Activities include: junior and senior youth clubs, access (sports) scheme, residential trips, a high needs club, school holiday play schemes and Saturday clubs.

Hackney Shed provides inclusive theatre workshops for young people aged 7 - 19 some of whom require assistance with communication, mobility, behaviour or self-help skills and social development. We provide coaching and development to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them find employment and build their confidence and sense of self worth. We run the Spear Programme for up to 90 young people aged 16-24 each year. The programme comprises 6 weeks of training followed by a year of support. 75% of our young people are in work or further training 12 months after the course.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING AND RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in hackney and the surrounding areas by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of advancing in life and education, relieving unemployment and providing recreational and leisure time activity.

The Charity is established to advance in life and relieve needs of young people who have need byreason of their youth, age, poverty or social and economic circumstances, especially but notexclusively those living in the boroughs of Hackney and Haringey.

THE CHARITY'S ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE PROVISION & DISTRIBUTION OF GRANTS AND DONATIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE ADVANCEMENT AND FURTHERANCE OF THE JEWISH RELIGION AND JEWISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND THE ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY AMONG THE JEWISH COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
