The main charity activities of the Grenada Voluntary Hospital committee are donation the three hospitals in Grenada with special attention to the children ward and most recent the female wards. A core service is our weekly Drop In where local people can access information, advice, guidance & education on a range of issues & peer support; with some 1:1 follow up appointments. We advocate community based learning and offer workshops in e.g. English, Sewing & basic IT & a range of activities aimed at well-being.

Pimento provices supplementary school from Monday to Saturday. The school has average attendance of 65 students across our range of services. We teach the core national curriculum subjects, with emphasis on English and maths. Students bring their mainstream homework.Summer playscheme is a time for students to experience a sense of community within the school.

Mental health is affected 1 in 4 in the UK, but that number is greater in term of refugees, asylum seekers and in specifically BAME communities. Homelessness and poor housing is another factor contributing to the stress of these of communities, and when someone cannot report a simpler repair that could improve their living condition.

FUND-RAISING FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Each year the charity provides support to charities and organisations within the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The primary focus of the trust is to benefit young people with an emphasis on education, health and personal development (which includes the arts and sports).

Our mission takes place home and abroad, some of the ways we help are listed below:- Clothe and feed the needy- Visit, pray and comfort the sick/bereaved- Support the homeless- Help with payment of medical bills- Support disadvantaged young people; financially, socially and emotionally- Taking young people on holiday tripsEveryone is important to us. Giving public concerts for the local community including work with local church, youth groups and the BBC Symphony Orchestra Community Music Programme. Providing young up-and-coming soloists the opportunity to perform concertos in public. Working with the Tri-Borough Musical Hub.

Planning, commissioning, fundraising, obtaining permission for the erection of, and managing the erection - and care and maintenance of a public artwork in Bedford Park commemorating the life and works of WB Yeats and his connection with the area, together with publicising and providing information and education about WB Yeats's work and the importance of Bedford Park in his development.
