The Charity is established to advance in life and relieve needs of young people who have need byreason of their youth, age, poverty or social and economic circumstances, especially but notexclusively those living in the boroughs of Hackney and Haringey.

The charity maintains and runs Hornsey Vale Community Centre in London N8. We provide space for hire to local community for regular classes and activities that benefit local people. We also hire space for community projects, parties and events and also run a monthly Lunch Club.

The church runs two services and a toddler group each week. There are other adhoc services and activities at different times during the year.

MHMC IS A CHURCH FOR THE COMMUNITY. WE PROVIDE TEACHING AND SUPPORT TO MEMBERS OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. WE ARE ALSO A CENTRE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WITH FACILITIES AND SERVICES OFFERED IN COOPERATION WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, PCT AND OTHER AGENCIES WHICH INCLUDE PRESCHOOL PLAY ACTIVITIES, HEALTH VISITORS, FITNESS CLUBS AND LUNCH CLUBS FOR THE ELDERLY, AND A CHILD CONTACT CENTRE.

1.Furtherance of Christianity and Christian Education; Providing Advocacy, advice and information.2.Reliefing poverty by working in co-operation with other charitable and christian organisation in a common effort to assist victims of war,disaster and other misfortunes.3. Helping general Public/Manking,;Elderly/Old people;Children/young people.

Running a synagogue, and charitable grants

Support children and young people with disabilities and their families by providing advice, information, respite and recreational activities.

To advance education by raising monies for St. Michaels Church of England School (the School). The Charity supports the running of the School primarily through the maintenance and improvement of the fabric and buildings, grounds and infrastructure, with a second object to support general School life

The Charity promotes personal development & skills by providing leisure time recreational & other activities, such as social activities, educational workshops, sport & skill based sessions, designed to improve the lives of vulnerable & disadvantaged people, giving them vastly improved future life prospects. EVERYONE deserves the opportunity to achieve confidence, resilience & independence.

PROVISION OF WATER SPORTS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Organisational Grants to support charitable organisations working to improve lives of people in the Ancient Parish of Hornsey.Educational & Vocational Grants for course expenses & educational equipment. Individual Grants for household items (cookers, fridges, washing machines, beds, bedding, furniture, essential baby equipment), basic clothing & footwear. Usually awarded via a voucher.

The charity runs a weekly foodbank in the London Borough of Islington which is open to all residents of of Islington and the surrounding area without the need for referral. Because we are set up to ensure that people with financial difficulties do not go hungry we do not require a referral. Fresh and staple food, essential toiletries and household items are given to individuals and families.

The Charity's activities includes:1. Advancement of Religion, and2. Relief of Poverty3. The promotion of fulfilment of such other charitable purposes beneficial to the community.4.The relief of persons who are in condition of hardship or distress or who are aged, sick, or disabled in the United Kingdom or abroad.

The activities of the Trust are executed through the operations of New River Church (formerly known as Unity Church, New River Community Church and New River at Croyland).
