THE ORGANISATION HOLDS SUPPORT MEETINGS ON SATURDAY AT THE CHESTNUT CENTRE 280 ST ANNS ROAD N15 5BN . THIS IS DESIGNED TO HELP THE AGED, WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS IN NORTH LONDON WHO ARE LIVING IN FINANCIAL DISTRESS AND POVERTY WITH ADVICE AS WELL AS PROVISION TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE

The charity provides pensions to eligible elderly residents within the boundaries of the former Wood Green Urban District Council. It also provides grants to eligible residents in need.

We do provide our service users who are disadvantaged Black ethnic minority resident in London with education and employment training, advice and counseling on health matters, housing, dept, music, art, sport and physical activities, awareness on drug and alcohol, guns and knives.

Our aims to relieve poverty, hardship and distress of African refugee living in Haringey. We do provide a free Interpreting & Translation services to members, provision of free advice on energy, health matters, education and training for employment, meeting and cultural activities, art development, food distribution and warm bank, sport and physical activities for these people.

The aims and objectives of The Canning Hall Trust are to further the charitable religious work and for the advancement of the education of the public in accordance with the principles and doctrines of the Protestant faith through the Churches in the Wood Green area of North London.

The ACTITIVESThe project will cover the following activities Drama, film making, Traditional dancing, supporting young people in subjects they are weak at by working with children with behaviour problems, Educational day trips, Half term summer holiday activities, jewellery making, Healthy eating workshops, ICT, Sex education and facilitating their transition from Primary to Secondary schools.

Bridging the Gap lslington offers trained, supervised volunteer mentors to provide support to people at risk of offending including people who are homeless or addicted to help them to achieve specific short term goals along their chosen path to a more constructive and participative life.
