BKLT was formed to raise awareness of Lupus and support research into the causes, treatment and cure of lupus. Since establishment it has made giant strides in raising awareness of lupus. Despite acute funding problems BKLT have continued to make donations towards research.The Trustees remain resolute in pursuit of the charity's aims and objectives. We have done two activities for ladies and gathering calling Amazaning week which was a great success by increasing the number of participant and by seing menbers improving their confident, abilities and gain empowering.

The Friends of Bruce Castle provides volunteers to help at events and functions, we assist the museum to raise funds for specific projects, we publicise the work of the museum and its history and educate the public about the building's significance. We also raise our own funds in order to be able to help the museum to purchase small artefacts.
