Hemel Hempstead Methodist Church has the use of a modern church building and provides opportunity (open to all) for public worship, Bible study, social meetings particularly for the elderly and innovative styles of worship for young people and families. The church also facilitates involvement in community ventures such as the local food bank, services for the homeless and Street Pastors.

Our church is a place of regular public worship to advance the Christian faith. We serve our village community through Alpha Groups, Youth Cell Groups, Home study Groups, Prayer and Bible Study, After School Clubs, Seniors Fellowship Groups, Toddler Group, Men's Group, Book Club, Cafe, Art Class, Social events, pastoral care and missionary links abroad.

Accommodation for elderly residents.

St Albans Action for Homeless supports the street homeless and those in temporary accommodation, The charity provides hot meals on a Friday and Saturday night in St Albans town center plus clothes and basic essentials/toiletries on a Wednesday night. The charity also runs Hope House which provides accommodation for up to four males.

We have provided regular educational talks for people in their Third Age in St Albans and its surrounding locality and also facilitated their continued learning through interest groups. We have also kept members informed of educational activities offered by our regional network and by the Third Age Trust.

Razed Roof is an inclusive theatre company offering training, workshops and performance opportunities for adults and young people with and without disabilities and learning difficulties

Support of St Alban's Cathedral and the promotion of its dignity, traditions and influence, in particular by:1) providing a network to link members to the life and work of the Cathedral and Abbey Church.2) giving practical and financial support to projects which enhance the Church and its precincts and which are endorsed by the Cathedral Chapter.

Donations are made to students in higher education, including scholarships; to organisations involved in community work; to the arts; to the promotion of reading including dyslexia sufferers.

The charity provides a club where visually impaired people may meet socially enjoying weekly activities, entertainment & support specifically for those with sight loss. Regular days out and an annual holiday for members can be enjoyed. The club is open every week for two days & runs entirely on a self funded and voluntary basis.

TO ADVANCE THE RELIGION AND RELATED CULTURE OF SEPHARDI JEWS IN THE LONDON AND HERTFORDSHIRE AREA, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL AND SURROUNDING JEWISH COMMUNITIES, THROUGH PRAYER, CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS AND MEETINGS/EVENTS AND THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY DURING TIMES OF NEED.

AFA hosts various activities which bring together different sections of the Aldwickbury School community. These activities include fundraising events to enable the provision of facilities and equipment which will enhance the education of the pupils at the School. In addition. AFA works with the School to provide opportunities for pupils to be involved with supporting a range of charitable causes.

The charity provides activities on a weekly basis to children (both boys and girls) from the ages of 6 up to 14 following guidelines set down by the Scout Association. In 2008 the Scout Hut was replaced by a purpose built building with state of the art equipment with help from other charities and beneficiaries.

To operate a wheelchair basketball club providing disabled and able bodied people to opportunity to play the sport at whatever level they want to, ranging from recreational up to National and International standards. To promote fitness and competitiveness whilst taking part in league matches representing the club. To provide a sociable and friendly atmosphere where all are welcome.

Hire of Village Hall

Community choir performing major choral works to a high standard and running singing workshops. Membership of approx 90 singers is drawn from a wide geographical area covering Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. Main concert venues are Saffron Hall and St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden. The choir has close links with local schools, regularly sharing concerts.

Providing extra facilities for children within school. All money earned goes to enhancing their school lives.

The Charity holds educational seminars on diferent Islamic topics for the benefit of the Muslim Community in the United Kingdom. It also raises fund for the relief of poverty and it also helps at the time of natural disasters and emergencies.

Provides educational opportunities for people of retirement age and beyond in the Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield areas

To advance the Christian faith and to advance christian education in Hatfield, St. Albans and Welwyn Garden City and in such other parts of the UK or the work as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

The purpose of the Church is to promote the knowledge of Our Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, Redeemer, Baptiser and Coming King, and to minister to all where opportunities arise, not only in Hemel Hempstead. This includes the giving of material and practical assistance where considered appropriate. We run Sunday services, children's and youth groups and are involved in mission projects.
