Religious activities

We facilitate and encourage the sharing of individual skills with other retired or semi-retired people. We support study groups and help them to find suitable venues and resources. We share information within the whole membership about mutually beneficial activities. At our monthly meetings we have a speaker talking on various subjects such as The London Underground and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance

The charity?s objects are the advancement of the Hindu religion and Hindu culture and heritage for the public benefit in particular but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings and organising cultural functions and Hindu religious festivals (including festivals such as Durga Puja, Laxmi Puja and Kali Puja).

SUPPLY A SAFE AND HAPPY ENVIRONMENT FOR PRE SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN

To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Watford, in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society.The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in Watford by providing or assisting in education, training, healthcare, and mental health.

Activities provided are based on identified needs of community in West Watford. We provide Coffee Morning,Baby & Toddler Grp, Art & Craft Grp,Digital Inclusion for Older People, Guitar Grp, Over 50s Exercise, Pilates, Reminiscence Grp, Socials, Vinyl Eves, Volunteering Opps, Yoga, Chair Yoga, Chess Club, Zoom activities, Drop-In, room & hall hire.

Providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at Ashlyns School, not normally provided by the education authority. Organising social and recreational events for parents, school staff and students, to foster an environment of friendship, co-operation and support.

Supporting appeals for funding from Charities in and around areas local to VWV offices

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS PROCLAIMED AND PEOPLE ARE CHALLENGED TO PUT THEIR FAITH INTO ACTION, TO BE OBEDIENT TO GOD AND TO BE GOOD CITIZENS IN OUR COMMUNITY. SUPPORT ALSO IS GIVEN TO SELECTED ORGANISATIONS THAT SPECIALISE IN BIBLE TEACHING, ESTABLISHING CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIPS, SOCIAL PROBLEMS AND RELIEF FOR THOSE DEVASTATED BY NATURAL DISASTERS AROUND THE WORLD.

Youth and Community Activities

Amateur dramatic and musical theatre society performing shows and musical entertainment in local theatres and function halls

- Delivering food parcels to individuals and families in and around the UK - Giving a helping hand to the unfortunate

To allow the Village Hall premises to be used for the purpose of physical and mental recreation and social and intellectual development for the benefit of the inhabitants of Nettleden with Potten End Parish.

SCOUT GROUP

To educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts and to further development of public appreciation and taste in said arts

Aylesbury Vale U3A is a body of people who undertake to learn and to help others to learn. It's objectives are the advancement of education and, in particular, the education of older people and those who are retired from full time work, by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development in Aylesbury Vale and its surrounding locality

To augment the stipend of ten poor Vicars in the Diocese of Canterbury and ten poor Vicars in the Diocese of Ely

For the relief of the poor and needy or for the benefit of other such charitable institutions societies and objects as the members of the Rotary Club of Hoddesdon shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.
