Harpenden Choral Society has about 75 members and performs four concerts a year in Harpenden, including a carol concert. The Society aims to perform an increasing range of choral music of all periods, both sacred and secular, to a high amateur standard with the help of professional soloists and instrumentalists. The Society promotes singing as a social activity and strives to attract new members.

Provision and maintenance of a rescue home for cats in need of care and attention. The charity provides veterinary aid, food and shelter to cats and re-homes them responsibly with new owners.

Our mission is to empower young people to fulfil their potential and take action on issues affecting their future. Our major focus is improving the livelihoods of young people both in the developed and developing world through employability and entrepreneurial trainings. We are currently working with disadvantaged young women in West Africa and in primary and secondary schools in the UK.

Scouts actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Scouting activities for boys and girls.

Amateur dramatics society that performance 5/6 times per year, in order to advance the public knowledge and appreciation of music and drama. Our theatre is also available to hire for events, and local groups in need of a space.

Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is part of RGHC which provides palliative care for adults and children who have been diagnosed with cancer or another life limiting illness in Herts & Bucks. Through our 24/7 responsive hospice at home service, our specialist nurses give patients the choice to be cared for at home. We also offer support services for families and, in Herts, a range of day services.

To advance the Christian Religion in the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures producing and/or distributing literature on Christianity to enlighten others about the religion, The relief of financial hardship either generally or individually of people, living in the United Kingdom by making Grants for providing or paying of items and services

The Association runs the Walsworth Community Centre which is hired to community based organisations

To advance the education of pupils at the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the LEA).

Advancing the education of pupils of Wheatfields Infants' and Nursery School by: providing and assisting in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the school as the committee and the school shall from time to time determine; fostering co-operation between the parents and the school; and engaging in activities which support the school.

Charlie's Gift is a Hertfordshire based charity which provides grants of money to support children living within Herts, Beds and Bucks who face challenges in life because of health issues, special needs, bereavement or poverty. We organise many fund raising social events throughout the year and also raise funds through sponsored sporting activities.

FUND RAISING TO IMPROVE SCHOOL FACILITIES

All Scouting Activities ie. knotting, first aid, cooking, fire lighting and map and compass work. All these skills are aimed at giving children the opportunity to take part in more adventurous activities enabling the children to look after themselves. Other activites include camping, interesting speakers, making things and demonstrations.

The Benevolent Fund was established for the benefit of such distressed Brother Mark Master Masons, their widows and children, or for the benefit of such masonic charities or other charitable institutions, societies and objects as the Provincial Grand Mark Lodge of Hertfordshire shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.
