The Trust is an almshouse and grant-making charity operating only in the Parish of Harefield. It provides alms accommodation for qualifying elderly women and families and also playing fields. At Christmas cash grants are made in lieu of traditional coal allocations to qualifying elderly. Grants are also made from time to time to individuals or groups with an established need.

The promotion and encouragement of the practice and principles of volunteering, to develop, promote, organise and implement volunteer work programmes, employment opportunities and training sessions, co-ordinate with other charities, voluntary bodies and statutory authorities.

HMS is an independant local charity, operating under the umbrella of Men's Sheds Uk, who run workshops where members can undertake practical engineering and craft activities within a social environment to avoid issues of social isolation and depression.

The charity provides about 50 different learning groups to advance the education of the public and in particular the education of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Northwood and its surrounding area.

The objective is to provide those seeking help with a competent and caring service offering counselling and psychotherapy on an individual, couple or group basis. Our aim is to offer those receiving counsel an opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more resourcefully and towards greater well being.

To promote & protect physical & mental health of children & young adults living in Greater London, who have experienced the loss of a familty member or someone close to them byproviding & assisting in the provision of services related to bereavement care such as therapeutic play &counselling. To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to bereavement.

The Fund receives donations, largely from parents, to support various school related activities, though also as contributions to other charitable causes for which the pupils seek to raise money.
