The Order fulfils its principal aims through (a) formation, training and continuing education and the promotion of vocations to the Priesthood and religious life (Vocations Promotions) and (b) by prayer and pastoral work in parishes. To advance the Roman Catholic religion by supporting the charitable activities of the Order of Saint Benedict at the monastery of San Benedetto, Norcia, Italy.

SYO aims to educate in the art and science of music. We hold weekly rehearsals during term time for musicians aged up to 21 drawing children from SW London, Surrey & Middlesex. Our three concerts each year are open to the public, and we organise an annual/biannual tour abroad. Most members pay to belong to the orchestra but no child with musical talent is excluded because of inability to pay.

The charity hosts fundraising events to generate income, which is then used to fund acquisitions of mini buses, wheelchairs and provide financial support to deserving organisations and individuals.

A 3 course meal for isolated older people in Victoria. A manicure and pedicure service in Lambeth. A jacket potato lunch for older people providing a good hot meal in Westminster. Free weekly dance class for older people. A Christmas Hamper Scheme and Over 50's choir. A free music therapy service, drama sessions, holiday workshop and trips for families for children and young people with SEND.

TO OFFER PASTORAL SUPPORT TO CHURCH MEMBERS, MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION AND THOSE SEEKING ASSISTANCE. TO HIRE OUT THE CHURCH PREMISES WHEN AVAILABLE TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS, BOTH CHARITABLE AND COMMERCIAL, AS A SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AND TO RAISE INCOME.

To bring talented young keyboard players before the public, by developing new performing opportunities and new audiences. It organises recitals which serve to introduce them to the public and to members of the music profession who can assist their careers.

The charity oversees the delivery of Scouting by Scout Groups. It provides activities for members of Scout Groups as well as general advice and support to them. It also runs directly all Explorer Scout Units in its area.
