Aim of the pre-school is to enhance the development and education of children primarily under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through community groups and by offering appropriate play facilities and training courses.

We provide sessional care for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years.

The Church was open every Sunday throughout the year to hold its Sunday morning worship service with the celebration of communion. We have continued to support mission and.the spiritual growth of our youth continues through our Sunday morning programme. During the year our pastoral team have assisted the pastor in offering much needed help and prayer to those within our fellowship and outside.

We are currently increasing capacity to offer support to an increase in voluntary after-school clubs, as schools reach for new targets for 2010.

St Michael's is a committee-run pre-school, which has adopted and is working to, the Pre-school Learning Alliance constitution. The setting is registered with Ofsted, under reference 127613.

The Squirrels Pre-School is an organisation that provides pre-school education for children aged 2 years - 4 years old in Canterbury. The majority of time that children spend at the pre-school is covered by Early Years funding received from Kent County Council.

WE PROMOTE THE POSITIVE WITHIN IN THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF KENT TO PREPARE THEM BEING PART OF THEIR COMMUNITIES ALL THROUGH MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THEIR LIVES.

The objects of the charity are to relieve persons in faversham and surrounding areas who are in a condition of need, hardship or distress in such ways as the trustees from time to time see fit.
