The prevention or relief of poverty in communities reliant on subsistence farming in Kenya. We raise money for school communities to implement a unique programme for rural communities who are mobilised to learn sustainable farming methods. School meals are provided temporarily, as agro-ecology methods are used over a few years and they take responsibility to provide the food without external input

The Trustees maintain regular correspondence with those Pastors and Workers that the Charity supports, and send financial support on both a regular and occasional basis to them and /or their associated ministry organizations.

The charity principally helps the Mara Rianda Primary School and the local community in the Mara Rianda, Maasai Mara, Kenya by providing the school with resources, assisting the funding of teaching staff and providing bursaries for secondary education for a few students. In addition it assists in the provision of clean drinking water for the local community.

To advance such charitable purposes for the public benefit as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not limited to the relief of financial hardship among people worldwide who are the victims of financial hardship as the result of poverty, illness or emotional hardship by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities to individuals

Umoja Street Child Trust exists to support, fund and facilitate the work of the Umoja Boys Rescue Centre (UBRC) in Kwale, Kenya. The UBRC in turn exists to rescue, rehabilitate and restore street-living boys in Kenya. As part of these processes we also care for them at every stage, and enable the boys to either access education (by sending them to school) or we provide education on site.
