Supporting young people, vulnerable adults, women, the elderly, those under-privileged and deprived within our community through education, sports, training and enrichment activities.Provision of activities to improve educational attainment, life chances, improving community engagement and cohesion.

Slaithwaite Community Association has the aim of encouraging and promoting community life in Slaithwaite. We achieve this by means of events that bring together many interest groups in the village as well of people of all ages who do not belong to any organised group. We are particularly proud that we are able to support many groups connected with children and young people.

RAISING FUNDS FOR RAVENSHALL SCHOOL TO ENHANCE THE PROVISION FOR PUPILS WITH COMPLEX LEARNING DIFFICULTIES, THROUGH THE PURCHASE OF NON STATUTORY ITEMS FOR SCHOOL.

Hilal BCS is ran and led by group of volunteers which mainly consist of members of the community. The objective of the organisation is to provide benefits to members of the community in the North of England by the advancement of education; the provision of recreational, religious and leisure time activities, with its main objective of improving the conditions of life for the said persons.

The church aims to: A. Advance the Christian faith in such ways in the UK or the world as the church council thinks fit. B. Relieve sickness, financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind in the UK or the world as the church council thinks fit. C. Advance education in such ways in the UK or the world as the church council thinks

The objects of the company shall be to promote the benefit of the elderly in England and Wales in particular elderly people from Ethnic Minority communities by the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, including in particular but not exclusively the provision of Homecare and healthcare services that promote independent living.

The objects of the Trust in furthering its charitbale purposes for the public benefit are to apply the income subject to the cost of administration expenses of the Charity for the benefit of persons residing in the former County Borough of Huddersfield and the former Urban Districts of Colne Valley Holmfirth Kirkburton and Meltham who are in indigent or greatly reduced circumstances.

Platform 1 is a mental health charity based in the heart of Huddersfield, offering support throughout the county. We work with people with complex needs, of all ages and from all backgrounds and experiences. We encourage recovery through counselling and supportive activities, allowing reconnection at individuals own pace and within a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Afemai Children's Trust deliver cultural workshops to engage children and young people from all backgrounds. Their workshops develop understanding of different traditions and reduce isolation. Conveying diverse subjects, Afemai Children's Trusts' mission is to positively celebrate heritage and culture, and work with institutions that are keen to encourage a global outlook.

SKY Positive Minds aims to preserve and protect the physical and mental health of women and children in North Kirklees who have experienced domestic abuse, have anxiety, stress and other disadvantages, through one to one sessions or group workshops that will give them skills and techniques to improve their confidence and emotional resilience.We also advance the education of children by running

Watershed Workshops activities include- providing a high quality, accessible participatory and disabled arts base- enhancing professional development through the arts- supporting, promoting and providing training, volunteering and placement opportunities in the arts- providing a sustainable work base for participatory arts

Hope4Humanity provides relief around the world with activities to tackle poverty. Programmes to provide; shelter, healthcare, food, clothing and delivering emergency response to those in need.

YBKA promotes beekeeping throughout Yorkshire, providing education, training and support for our members and informing the public at large, particularly children, about the important role that the honeybee plays in the natural ecology.

Supporting children with life limiting and life threatening illnesses and conditions such as cancer.

Finds ways of explaining Quakerism to the wider public through outreach events and arts activities. Holds 4 general open meetings to discuss topics of current interest and exercise responsibilities. Provides learning holidays for children & young people. Offers grants for meeting house repairs and extensions and helping individual Quakers in need.Administers linked Rawdon Friends School Trust.

The charity makes grants to advance, either generally or individually, the education (including social and physical training) of persons under the age of 25 who are resident, or who have a parent or parents resident, in the area of the former Urban District of Mirfield. The trustees meet in February, May and October each year to consider written applications received by the clerk.

Scouting

Provides out-of-school-hours activities for school age children, e.g. Chinese Language lessons (both Mandarin and Cantonese), Chinese Dance, Calligraphy, Crafts, etc, in Leeds and Districts. We also provide Chinese language lessons for adults and promote Chinese culture amongst local community.

We empower individuals with a diverse range of disabilities, neurodivergence, health challenges and those struggling with multiple deprivation to reach their full potential through creative expression; arts, dance, theatre and performances to support social inclusion and increase opportunities for self development and contribute meaningfully to society where their lived experience is valued.
