Mosaic's main purpose is to bring people in Batley Carr, Batley and the surrounding area together through arts, creative and educational activities and projects, in ways which reinforce community pride, create opportunities for community celebration, develop new skills and interests, improve quality of life and wellbeing, and create connections between local people.

We believe in a nature-first approach to land care and management.

Provision of building & facilities for Education & Training, Arts & Culture, Sports & recreation for the general public in the area of Kirklees

Following the Scouting and Guiding Programmes which encompass personal development, learning skills, becoming Good Citizens whilst having fun. Taking Badges in various skills along the way and Camping etc.

To promote and assist the general good of all people residing in Thornhill Lees regardless of race or creed by providing facilities for education, physical and mental recreation and pursuing any activities which are deemed by law to be charitable.

Donations to oyher charities and groups

The organisation is responsible for the management of an open age band and a youth band. Each year the bands perform at local and regional venues, taking part in twenty to thirty concerts, including a number for charity. The organisation delivers ab inito teaching for young people wishing to learn to play a brass instrument.

Halifax Young Singers provides a programme of weekly rehearsals and regular performance opportunities for singers aged 7 to 21. The choir welcomes all singers, irrespective of experience, and links up with other young musicians to provide quality music-making opportunities for all.

Fundraising events (as detailed within our Report) covering childrens discos, Christmas Fair, Fashion Shows, Lottery Bonus Ball to name a few. All funds raised to further the interests of the children at Crowlees School through funded trips and equipment in school. The Charity operates solely within & for the school itself.

Based in North Kirklees, we offer a compassionate Muslim bereavement service. Rooted in the community, we maintain facilities and provide education on Islamic funerals, ensuring dignified and timely final rites. Collaborating with stakeholders, local and national bodies for seamless service provision. Our commitment ensures accessible Islamic burials, aligned with our faith and principles.

The Band and Ensemble groups provide music for various events, inc.charity/community/church/private. The band owns some instruments providing opportunity for education and training within the local community.

The Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25.
