Running discos for the school children, running the School fayres at Christmas and Summer and holding a Mother's Day and Father's Day shop to generate funds for specific school requests

All types of camps and pack holidays for all Guides, Brownies as well as sleep overs for Rainbows. We have also had all sorts of training for both Leaders as well as courses for Brownies and Guides to name but a few things

Provision of Spritual service

The Mid Pennine Search and Rescue Organisation (MPSRO) serves as a representative body for the five independent Mountain Rescue teams in the Mid Pennine Region, namely; Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team, Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team and Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

The Grove Club provides an evening of social interaction for adults with learning difficulties. They enjoy music, games and socialising.

A Trust Fund associated with a Rotary International Club raising funds to help local individuals and organisations to achieve their ambitions and better fulfil their potential, to assist those in need or suffering hardship and to undertake charitable purposes for the public benefit both in the UK and internationally.

The charity makes grants to pupils and former pupils of Whitcliffe Mount School. Grants may be made to past pupils towards study at an institution of further education. The charity also provides money for the headteacher for the furthering of activities connected with the school.

Recreation Trust

The Rural Veterans Hubs (Kirklees) aims to provide support, sanctuary and services to military veterans living around the Kirklees rural district.

We hold fundraising events to raise money to benefit the school children in both fun and educational activities.

To promote and assist the general good of all people residing in Thornhill Lees regardless of race or creed by providing facilities for education, physical and mental recreation and pursuing any activities which are deemed by law to be charitable.

To promote choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by other such ways as the society through its committee shall determine.

Donations to oyher charities and groups

St Aidan's PTA is an integral part of school life, providing an opportunity to work in partnership to support and enhance our children's learning and overall experience whilst at St Aidan's C of E Academy, whilst contributing to the community around us.

Holme Valley Climate Action (HVCAP) is a not-for-profit, independent, community business, created in 2020 by local people as a registered charity, a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) reference 1109733. Our intention is to support local organisations in carrying out climate actions, to help reduce carbon emissions, with the aim of the Holme Valley becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

St Johns Home & School Association is generally run by Parents and carers of Children within school.It arranges various fund raising activities throughout the year to help raise extra funds to buy materials and equipment for use of the whole school comunity.

Friends of Two Gates organises events and raises funds for Slaithwaite C of E Junior and Infant School. In normal years, we hold both a summer fair and a Christmas fair as well as other events both on and off the school premises. Funds raised are donated to the school or spent directly for the benefit of children at the school.

The Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25.

Our mission is to advance the Christian faith, particularly among marginalized groups, including asylum seekers and refugees. We offer various services through Compassion Church, which include Sunday multi-language Worship, Bible studies with translation service, prayer meetings, and community support.
