The organisation of an annual, three day, mainly competitive music festival open to amateurs of all ages comprising classes in primary school instrument groups, primary school choirs (part and unison), senior choirs, piano, brass, strings, acoustic and electric guitar, woodwind, electronic keyboard, light vocal, Drums, classical vocal and mixed ensembles.

To advance the education of the public in the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of birds and bird study in the Lancaster & District Area.To undertake population studies of birds within the Area and support the national and regional surveys organised by the BTO.Information is published, via its annual bird report, newsletters, website, and through a programme of indoor meetings.

The charity operates in the parish of Aighton, Bailey and Chaigley and supports the development of children and young people. It also supports organisations and activities in neighbouring areas that support the development of children. Individual student grants could relate to school trips, equipment or development of talents.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Mossley and surrounding areas, by the provision of coaching for playing of football. The Club provide coaching to allow over 150 young people from the loacl community to enjoy football in a well supervised and trained environment every week.

propagation of information about healthy lifestyles and the effects of alcohol and drugs, primarily through use of the Clearway [Temperance Knowledge] Examination and the award of prizes to successful candidates.

We are a small committee who run a number of events throughout the year. all monies raised are banked and if and when school require a donation towards trips etc then we help.we generally run coffee mornings, bingo and some live music events.

We supply users, specifically members confined to a wheelchair, or those who need to compete from a wheelchair, with the facilities and equipment to participate in a large number of sports. eg. Basketball, Archery, Bowls, Wheelchair Rugby, Table Tennis, Snooker, Pool, Sailing, Weight training and fitness, Air Rifle and Pistol etc.
