The main aim of the Silverdale United Charities, is to assist local residents who are unable to purchase, due to financial constraints, items that will give them a better standard of living.

to give women of all ages an opportunity to meet in a safe environment, to share skills and to be a support at all times .WE have regular craft meetings led by our own members in preparation for our county show,we walk locally each month and join others for lunch,attend local theatre performances and take part in our village events.Each monthly meeting is attended by approx 48 members.

The aims of the society are to further the studies of birds in the field and assist in their preservation.Specific activities include:- co-operation with other bodies in the maintenance/management of local areas of ornithological/natural history importance- recording of bird life in the LOS area- publishing of ornithological material and that related to conservation, relevant to the area

Brindle Women's Institute meets once a month, we have speakers on many subject sometimes educational, sometimes local interest groups, handycrafts, hobbies or purely entertaining for our member. We also have outings, and help other local groups with their catering. Our members also support many of the Lancashire Federation events.

Mereside Brass is a traditional brass band playing to the general public in and around Cheshire.

We supply users, specifically members confined to a wheelchair, or those who need to compete from a wheelchair, with the facilities and equipment to participate in a large number of sports. eg. Basketball, Archery, Bowls, Wheelchair Rugby, Table Tennis, Snooker, Pool, Sailing, Weight training and fitness, Air Rifle and Pistol etc.

HOLD MONTHLY MEETINGS, USUALLY WITH A SPEAKER.ARRANGE TRIPS OUT TO THEATRES AND MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLACES.ARRANGE CRAFT EVENINGS FOR THE ANNUAL WI SHOW. ARRANGE AFTERNOONS TO SHOW OUR CRAFTS AND HOLD EVENTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE YEAR'S CHOSEN GROUP.

General charitable purposes, education and training, overseas aid and famine relief for children, the elderly, the disabled and other charities/voluntary organisations, schools and individuals as decided by the members of Rotary Club of Lancaster under the Trust Deed dated the 6th April 1973.

We play in concerts mainly in the Clitheroe area at School fetes, Town Bandstand, Weddings, Fund raising events, Marches for the Town Council.
