We are a village hall for hire within the community. The hall is used for dance classes, WI, childrens activities, and village events.

Friends of Lowther Pavilion hold many events during the year including dances, coffee mornings and a variety of entertainment, all of which raise money for the refurbishment of the theatre. We also provide Front of House helpers for all the professional and amateur shows which again saves the theatre the cost of paid staff.

The Village Hall Committee Charity provides a community service by maintaining the village hall for the use of local groups including elderly, youth groups, sports & health groups. Money raising events meet some of the costs of upkeep.

PROVISION OF GRANTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY ONE YEARS WHO RESIDE WITHIN A RADIUS OF FIFTY MILES OF PRESTON CITY CENTRE.GRANTS ARE PROVIDED FOR SPECIALIST MEDICAL ATTENTION AND EQUIPMENT, TO RELIEVE HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS, TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND TO ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES.

The charity aims are to provide holidays and social events for disabled and disadvantaged children, and provide support through respite for their parents and carers. The group is totally voluntary run and provides for children :1. who need the opportunity to share social experiences2. who would not otherwise have a holiday3. who's parents need a rest from caring for them through the year

The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training.

The charity runs a charity shop selling clothes, shoes,toys, bric - a -brac etc.

Promoting the Education (including social and physical training and religious education in accordance with the Christian faith) of persons under 25 who are resident or who have a parent pr parents resident in the Parish of Goosnargh.

The advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarily, but not exclusively, within Clapham, North Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

The Charity operates the Village Hall for the benefit of the local community

Runs inclusive theatre workshops and produces inclusive performances for all. Anyone of any age with or without additional needs can become a member and take part.

The Out of School Care Club is open each morning before school from 7.30am and after school up until 6.00pm. It is also open during some of the school holidays from 7.45 am - 6 pm. This enables parents and carers to follow their own career safe in the knowledge that their children are being looked after by caring, qualified staff. It was OFSTED inspected in June 2011 and was found to be Good.

A food bank and pantry scheme helping people with low or no income in and around the M20 and M21 Manchester areas.

Member Lancaster Canal Regeneration Partnership.Canal RestorationInstallation/maintenance of information boards, signage, canal side seats in liaison with CRT.Monitors canal side planning applications.Holds regular volunteer working parties for specific projects.Provides boat trips, talks, public meetings, canal festivals, shows etc for publicity, recruitment and fundraising
