Play sport - Rugby League

The relief of suffering and distress amongst persons and animals endangered by accidents or natural hazards by providing arrangements for secure and efficient search and rescue of such persons and animals.This done through the maintenance of volunteer underground and surface rescue teams, based in Grassington, North Yorkshire and covering Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and mid-Airedale.

The object of the charity is to further the religious and other charitable work ofthe Church of England in the parish of Wetherby. The charity discharges this objective by distributing grants in response to grant applications from third parties. A Grants Committee make recomendations to the trust for each application; the recommendations address eligibility, award and timing of grants.

Our Main Services continue to hold on Sunday mornings and the first Friday evenings of every month with focus on the teaching of GodÔÇÖs Word and prayer. The teachings are relevant to all aspects of our lives i.e. the Christian walk, education, career, business, family, relationships and creativity. The impact of these teachings is evident in the lives of our members.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Wetherby and surrounding areas by the provision of facilities for playing rugby union.

To advance the Christian faith and christian education in accordance with the statement of beliefs in such parts of Middleton, Leeds, the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

Amateur sports club providing sporting activities for children and adults in the Leeds area.

THE TRUSTEES OF KNOTTINGLEY FOODBANK ARE FRANCHISEES OF THE TRUSSELL TRUST FOODBANK NETWORK AND SUBSCRIBE TO ITS AIMS, VISION AND WORK PROCESSES.

The principal activity is the provision of and maintenance of property for youth theatre groups and other community groups

Joseph's Goal is a charity set up to increase awareness of NKH and to raise funds for research to find better treatments and eventually a cure. Fundraising activities include: sponsored events, charity balls and collection of donations.

We have different fellowship groups. For children, young people, university students and local residents. We had worship training every year. To develop and improve our members creative arts gifts in order to perform, rearrange and compose hymns in contemporary worship style. We have worked with Leeds Chinese Community Association. We held some medical talks to Chinese people in Leeds.

We are a local charity that has sports facilities & pitches. We have numerous football & rugby teams from 5 years old up to open age. We have crown green bowling facilities with many teams as well as a ladies rounders team. We have full disabled access in our club house & pavilion. The club house is used for recreational sports such as snooker as well as a large concert room for events.

Gay & Peter Hartley's Hillards Trust makes grants to charities that support children's welfare, care for the elderly, mental/physical health, disability, & hospices. Grants are made up to £1,000 to local charities in towns in 11 counties in north and central England - mainly in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. We help those in the most disadvantaged communities of Leeds to break the poverty cycle, improve their educational skills, promote healthy lifestyle choices and emotional wellbeing. We do this by providing advice, guidance and training, such as family support, early language development work with children, employability skills training, provisions of volunteering opportunities and food hampers.

Objectives of the charity are defined widely in the governing document to include any charitable activity.Trustees have considered the Commissions guidance on public benefit & currently Trustees policy is to benefit charities specialising in cancer relief & research,those particularly involved with hospices,those involved in arts & also a wider range of charities based in & around Leeds,WYorks.

Operates a museum of Public Road Transport of over 140 buses, coaches and ancillary vehicles, with related artefacts and documents. Activities include restoration, preservation and maintenance of historically significant vehicles, exhibition of these at public and civic events throughout Yorkshire, providing accommodation and acting as a clearing house for technical and historical information.

Our aim is to identify homeless Veterans living rough or in unsatisfactory accommodation . We then arrange suitable, sustainable accommodation in an individual or shared living environement,which ensures the candidate can access other relevant charities. A home provides a platform from which to access employment, medical and other welfare benefits with the assistance of our charity

The main areas of charitable actvitiy are the provision of counseling, advice, support and the advancement of the Christian religion.

In addition to general religious activities, we provide community groups in the LS9 postcode area, including Stay & Play (Mums & Tots group), an after school club (once a week term time only for children of primary school year 2 - 6) Messy Church once a month (which includes provision of a meal for those attending) and a youth group for ages 11 - 16 yrs once a week. All these are voluntary bodies.
