BEAVERS, CUBS AND SCOUTS ORGANISATION

We provide food and other essentials to people in need in Coalville and surrounding villages in North West Leicestershire. We provide support, advice and information to help people in need to access the help they need to improve their material circumstances.

Providing transport facilities for those unable to use or have difficulty using public transport.

TO ADVANCE THE DOCTRINES AND FAITH OF INDIAN ORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY AMONG THE EXISTING MEMBERS, UPCOMING YOUNGER GENERATION AND NEW MEMBERS MIGRATING OR ADOPTING THIS FAITH IN THE LEICESTERSHIRE AND SURROUNDING AREAS SUCH AS DERBY, NOTTINGHAM, KETTERING AND LINCOLN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT OF FAITH.

Regular public worship open to all. Provision of sacred space for personal prayer and reflection. Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons,small groups and school assemblies. Provision of youth club with a Christian ethos.

Addressing poverty, hardship and distress by providing items and services to Mountsorrel residents when they are most in need.

The Charity takes in horses and ponies who's owners will not or cannot look after them any longer for financial, health or other reasons.The horses and ponies are looked after by a team of volunteers and we try to give them as good a life as possible with care and respect.We operate from Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire and most of our horses and ponies are from the local area.

Home-Start North West Leicestershire is a voluntary home visiting scheme offering friendship, support and practical help to families who have at least one child under five.

RUNNING A FOODBANK

Scouting skills and activities for young people aged 4 to 14 years

Support of NHS and other medical institutions with the delivery of blood, blood products and items in support of patient care

We raise funds to provide Gifts/Wishes/Experiences for young adults aged 18 to 30 who have any type of cancer and are being treated at East Midlands Hospitals. Plus those up to 40 years old who have a Sarcoma with treatment at The Leicester Royal Infirmary.We also provide free holidays at our Mablethorpe based Caravan for cancer patients and their families from within the East Midlands area.

The pre-school is provides a small, nuturing atmosophere for rural children who live in a relatively isolated area.It is run by a team of four enthusiastic staff, who live locally, come from rural backgrounds and provide the children with a highly stimulating, fun and caring educational enviroment. The pre-school is managed by a commitee of local parents and operates out of the village hall.

The study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance. Also to assist and support such charitable institutions or purposes as the committee shall from time to time determine.

To provide a Christian response to the needs of local people in Market Harborough & District for help, support and encouragement at times of crises in their lives. In this the aim is to empower and help people make their own decisions in appropriate ways to enable them to satisfactorily come through those crises.

THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE COUNTY OF LEICESTERSHIRE BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATING IN SWIMMING AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES.

Educational/apprenticeship grants for young people aged between 11 and 25 years, living in Loughborough and Hathern

Exists for the diffusion and support of the principles of Unitarian Christianity & Liberal Religion in the East Midlands and support of its consituent congregations

Provision of training/education by way of making grants to individuals and/or organisations.

Provision of Religious education and traing for children & women

Provide a playing field and facilities for recreation and leisuretime occupation.

Eye-care operations; care for mentally retarded persons;religious activities and provision of food/water for the poor(regular meals).

Resource to schools taking lessons and assemblies. Resource to Churches taking services and enabling Holiday Clubs. Also providing workshops, after school activities and seasonal events.

Activities include quarterly publication of a village magazine, publication and dissemination of walks and information leaflets, managing the Community Library, running Pantomime and Youth Theatre groups, attempting to establish a new community building, Twinning Association, arranging events including entertainments and street markets, heritage activities etc.
